GGs days ago my Bro! GC request sent cos the other time we played months back din able to send so its a delay action yeah!

Never liked Viper mirrors most of the time cos we knows each others moves and grooves way too much but with u it seems something more! I remember we went flame kick frenzy, hoping to catch each other in flames, a few rounds we turtle abit a few times at the start not to get caught with the cr k, thunder knuckle!
But thereafter we start our frenzy and yes no defense! U read my game very well and u took all the sets after on and I only manage to read back last game!
Great fun my fren in conclusion and shall we play more soon!?!
    :p

    Anyone here use XBslink?

I refuse to pay for Xbox live which means my Xbox is useless. I found an alternative to live by running XBslink on your PC which allows you to connect to others as if you were doing a local LAN match. I was hoping to test it out with SFII HD remix, if you want to give it a try just PM me and we can set a date and time to test it.

Actual volt question for the cammy players: how do you cancel hooligan throw in the air so that you land standing?

Press sp early, at half of her arc.

Make sure the person is crouching or out of you way, then spam sp. easier with ex, as you can spam earlier, so it cancels the throw quicker.

You can press Sp or P during flight.

    If only I knew
I'm impressed to see that our core of elite members is still posting away on this thread!! 10 years from now this thread will be going strong, and probably end up in some Guiness book of world records or something crazy like that.

And harlequin rogue is asking for info on how to cancel one of Cammy's moves?
Jeez, I've obviously been away toooooo long.

SFxT is alright, if you can get a decent connection. Been messing around a little bit with that game.
But nothing beats good old Volt. *sigh*. :(

ATTENTION OWNERS OF JAPANESE SF VOLT !!

You may have seen talk of a Japanese SF Volt 3 on 3 tournament being organized by chaporuu and KieranHebden...

There has been talk of Foreigners partaking in a Mixed Teams series of Friendly Matches, mixed teams containing Japanese and none-Japanese.. Lottery draw for the team composition.. Anyone from TA and Denjin interested ??

They are keeping the main tournament Japanese only because they don't want lag to be a factor AT ALL in the matches THAT MATTER.. Yes we put up with and work around lag, but this is just not what Japanese want out of their online experience.. We aren't even SUPPOSED to have the Japanese App..

Message me if interested, I know you Japan App people are STILL out there: Harle, CaptYadier, Duyster..

There's about 6 people in Shadow Valley considering partaking..

F the Japanese players and their super lame play style!

Sure when they land a hard combo it looks great but in the meantime they just turtle. Super boring!

It seemed like pressing sp was the case but I wanted to confirm because it seemed inconsistent.

I wanted to ask about landing frames, but don't think you guys would know

I would play. But the japs claim my connection is too laggy for them

LOL yeah they have no equivalent concept for "spam"..

I was discussing this with Kieran, they see "spam" as "complaining"... LOLz

I am willing to put up with their skilled spam, because the RQs are so much less.. Japanese see losing as a transitory state towards improving.. We have too many Snowflakes in our western society..

I wouldn't call it spam, I just think their play style is boring...extremely boring. I stopped playing ranked to get away from that type of game play but even on friendlies people still play that way. In fact it's my opinion that a majority of the top players use a wait and counter (ie lame) style of play. I probably wouldn't mind but a good chunk of those players also use autoblock and sp assist, it's like they aren't even playing the game.

    Oh well. Who cares right?

Haha so what your saying is calm, thought out play is boring? Sounds like you get blown up by people who just wait and punish Blanka, which in most match ups versus Blanka is exactly what you need to do.

Footsies is a huge part of how Street Fighter should be played on higher levels, just going in with no regard for your opponent is how you get blown up in high level play. Volt seems to have taught players who dont play on the consoles that this is "wrong" or "boring" which blows my mind. The Japanese players have some of the most solid respectful play out of any of the communities involved with the game as a whole not just the consoles or Volt. Its a bummer that anyone can look at thier play as anything more than being respectful and patient.

I actually enjoy playing Japanese players just as much as I do with US server players.
The main difference between the two, in my opinion, is that:
    - Japanese (as well as other oriental players) specialise/focus on the micro elements of the game, looking at/playing it in a step by step process.
    - US server players focus on the big/macro elements of the game.
Putting that Jibba Jabba (see what I did there ay aaay?) in context FOR EXAMPLE....
I jump at a top level Japanese player, they will most likely anti-air it with a crouching fierce or some other AA normal in a well timed fashion. The US server player will bash forward SP no matter what the spacing, the point at which I'm in the air (timing) etc, followed by a bashing of F and Ultra button....and in the case of Hieu and Celine is followed by pure pleasure bashing XD
@Lewserscryquit, sounds like fun and I would partake, only I'm busy like a MUTHA TRUCKA :p
@Ivwshane, There's a way to beat ANYBODY. Your play style is like a pressure cooker and theirs is like a rice cooker (no pun intended haha). You can't put rice in a pressure cooker but...you can put the vegetables from a pressure cooker with the rice and make a really nice street fighter curry XD Hahahaha believe it or not I'm not high, just really tired and about to shleep. NOW that I have given you this Godly advice, you have the power to conquer Japan with the might of your pressure cooked vegetables!! Whenever in doubt, don't have the life lead, combo'd into dizzy or FADC ultra'd, JUST REMEMBER MY WORDS.

There is a difference between footsies and playing lame. Tenonez plays footsie. Playing lame is crouching the whole game just waiting to counter the opponent. Yes the strategy works but it's boring as shit, anyone can be a good player if they have sp assist and autoblock on and just crouch and mash ultra.

I can play one match of super lameness, after that I can't take it and just go all out. I've out lamed the best of them and it's just not fun. If you find that fun then great! Good for you, it's just not my thing.
