this thread is dying. Anyone who likes to give an old timer like me a nice set ?? hit me up sometimes lol.

I still like volt more than tekken. I just dont like the idea of activating pandora 7 sec before the clock and getting a perfect. I still think volt requires more skill and fun to play.

Javier's a cool guy, I've spoken to him a few times on LINE.
His Ryu is really good, not NYC good but just under.
Keep up the manual blocking Shane.

    bison

I am having some trouble vs. Bison with my Geif.

After a knock down they repeat Head Press, to Devil Reverse over and over again (ocasionally a sliding kick afterwards). Nothing seems to work as a counter or being able to get out of that pattern. I have tried the following on wake up: back dashing to avoid (which is impossible close to the corner), green hand forward to get out of it and timing the lariat right when they come in on top with the devil reverse.

I have tried going back and d/l some replays Geif vs Bison but can't find any good ones where that happened too often.

Any advice from the experts (Heif/Cyrus)?

    Thanks,
    Pete

If it's a devil's reverse, just focus it. I'm guessing you mean the skull crusher?

If it is, then I think you know that when not near the corner, backdash will always avoid the headstomp and you have all the time in the world to punish it.

If you're in the corner, just block. Who cares about the chip damage. Then, crouch afterwards and be ready to do the lariat in case the skull crusher comes.

Honestly, I don't remember Giefs being cornered too much in this matchup...

Tenonez...every time I play you, I feel like I'm losing years off my life. You make it look like a one player game as I'm watching you go to town with your Yun. Was there any bad habits you noticed?

Mine just crashed. It doesn't happen frequently, but it does happen at the worst possible times. Thankfully, it usually crashes at the beginning of an online match whenever it happens.

Good games! I have to be. It's not easy getting in on your Bison lol.

It wasn't that bad! Lol. I really didn't notice any bad habits, you spaced, blocked, and focused at the right times. To be honest, I had to really think outside of the box fighting you. I had to do weird, and creative, Yun stuff, like Genei Jin at random times, to catch you doing something.

I wish I could catch you when I do random moves, usually I just end up getting punished.

I can only do three to five matches with him, he mentally exhausts me.

For the Devil reverse, I suggest you be patient for his direction. If you get meter, you could use ex green hand against his devil reverse when he is about to land. If you have no meter, just use lariat against it but it has little use. Coz some bison players are cunning, they like to devil reverse in a certain distance where your lariat can't reach.

If you get knocked down, bison players like to use headstomp to welcome your wake up. Your can react differently according to the level of bision players. To some weak bison, U can always use back dash to avoid it. However, some cunning(clever) players know how to use it in a very right time which U can't use the back dash. (Trust me, U just can't) U can either use the ex green hand to escape or guard it.

Just find my replays to see how I play with the bison players. (mr zangief) To me, the devil reverse doesn't matter while the standing kick does.
