So has anyone noticed any more differences from vanilla SFIV? Certainly there's now the blur and screen shaking on ultras, which is a nice touch, but i'm thinking more 'under-the-hood' stuff- did anyone's moves get nerfed or whatever? The graphics definitely look like they did a little bit of a cleanup for this new version too, even though they're still not retina-ised. The biggest difference i've seen is C.Viper, who can now do her medium thunder knuckle (the one which punches straight forward, instead of leaving the ground like a dragon punch, by using 214P, instead of 421P. This adds a little more strategy, which is kinda fun. Any other characters get added moves?
Had a few good matches on wifi won 2 lost 2. Then the worst match ever, a player just spammed shoryuken with ken and other specials, I lost the first match then won and was about to win again...'player disconnected'...
Does anyone know the best way to get out of Sagat's Tiresoap spamming? It's really frustrating when a player just stands there and fireballs up and down without doing anything else.. I use Ryu and know how annoying it is to spam fireball, so I avoid doing that, but then there's these kind of players who are happy to trade one or two blow as long as their spamming works.
Wow, intentional disconnects don't give the other player a win count, even if they were by far in the lead. How absurd.
Try and get close and hurricane kick to get a knockdown, or jump in when they throw a fireball. Then push him to a corner and apply pressure. Wouldn't recommend doing anything adventurous though as a Tiger Uppercut FADC to ultra really hurts. Make sure you know how to FADC to Ultra with Ryu.
That is amazingly good anyway lol. Ken is still the only one I've managed to beat Akuma with on Normal even. Failed with Dee Jay, Sagat, E Honda, really never even got a look in, Akuma has some crazy combos. Still, at least not as ridiculous as the last guy on the iOS UMK game.... Online games are good fun, even if they stress me out. 3 wins 1 loss if that last one counted, it said I was disconnected, and then a few more minutes of arcade play ran out my battery ... guess it was a good session . I'm still finding it really hard to reliably perform Tiger Knee Crush - that z movement is hard to make register, and makes the combo challenges mad ><.
For Z motions you can use a shortcut, go from down-forward --> down-back --> down-forward . like a pendulum .
