Oh yes, I definitely can lose. I am human. I have my good days and I have my bad days.

Harlequin did do very well though. As a Rog, I have to get in. He kept me from really getting in this time. I'll get him back tho. ;)

Damn. I look forward to our matches next time.

In our previous matches it always felt you were holding back if I were lucky enough to take a round. I have the same feeling with apprunner. It feels like he's sitting back, playing with his food.

This forum is slowly turning into the public timeline. No need for drama in a little game :)

@Celine: Watch out though, if TenOnez catches wind of anything that looks samey in your gameplay he will exploit it (a great player trait, NYC and Leonel always did that).
E.g. You do sonic boom (TenOnez jumps over successfully) and you do Focus attack level 3, saw that a few times.
Also I remember from his and Slrc's replay that Guile can punish a blocked headbutt/uppercut with ultra and your SP off skills are good so I'm sure you can bait + punish right.

@TenOnez: If you want a better score, use Fei against Guile :p this is a far easier match up (from my experience against all Guiles). Although Celine is good at that match up too.

Guys, Celine may have won the battle but he hasn't won the war. Can't wait to see the next set!! :-D

@Screaming little boy: I can't be bothered to read your post lol lets just be thankful this is all online.

The sonic boom, FA is just a simple trap. If rog does the wrong punch im ready. The FA also absorbs headbutts. Alot of rogs do (ex) headbutt, Ultra as a pseudo frame trap due to lag. Sometimes even my sweep is too slow to punish and I eat ultra, so I stick to a simple throw or st p.

Fei is a somewhat annoying matchup for guile. It's quite skill intensive for both ends. I also can't neutral jump fei.

Also, the replays will really show, but I'm finding backdash on wakeup is really good against higher level players. I backdash out of his sweeps/FAs/Overhead punches. Against high level vipers like Nero and YYOJJO that love wakeup seismo, backdash is a life saver too.

Thanks for the input on the videos, I saw your comments.

It's kinda fun doing it until I set myself to do FA 3, EX Bad Stone, FA 2, EX Bad Stone, cr jab x4, cr mp xx Criminal Upper....

    Yeah...

At least my vids are way cooler than this one I saw of some guy with a British accent playing badly on his iPad, dropping so many combos...

Good games. I was actually playing random to force myself to try to improve with more characters. I have a long way to go with Akuma but feel pretty comfortable with Guile. That said, I was pretty disappointed with my Guile performance. But that could have just been the result of good competition.

Thanks for the invite. Fun games.

I might make another vid, I'll see when I get time...Sakura, Bison and Blanka are on the list this time.

omg are you kidding me? BACKDASH HAS INVINCIBILITY FRAMES

Seriously. Avoids ALOT of things. I have replays of me backdashing out of Vega and Abel Ultra.

Cool! Have you tried werewood's seth and juri? There like street fighter four's!
You just can't compare street fighter with life. There aren't soldiers rushing to you, and there is no god damn sniper. All you have is a one shot pistol that reloads.
Crouching punch (db+p) negates throws in case you didn't know. Uppercut beats that. As long as there is a horizontal direction and a punch. Df+P works too.

The window for teching grabs when crouching is substantially shorter

The backdash gives invincibility frames and also counts as airborne.

I've tried so damn hard to get tatsu mixup going, but I cant get the timing on it and even when I do get it, half the time it gets autoblocked. My Akuma can no longer improve!! *RAGE*

Muahahahaha. Some of the matches yesterday had more lag than usual. You would not believe how early I had to input those throw techs.

Oh and hieu exaggerates a lot. I only tech like 1-2 throws a match and eat the rest.

It's impractical anyway. If people know this and just crouch... It misses 90% of the time. Unfortunately, someone claimed in his instructional video for volt, using tactics he claims to have made by himself (although it's pretty much just basic sf4 akuma knowledge), that the particular way by which he showed air tatsu is legit for mix-ups, failing to factor in lag, lag spikes, etc. I bet many akumas looking for help by watching that video got pissed that it was useless advice for a game where a majority of player vs player fights happen in an online environment.
