    troll 11436 up, 1877 down
One who posts a deliberately provocative message to a newsgroup or message board with the intention of causing maximum disruption and argument

    "1b. Noun
A person who, on a message forum of some type, attacks and flames other members of the forum for any of a number of reasons such as rank, previous disagreements, sex, status, ect.
A troll usually flames threads without staying on topic, unlike a "Flamer" who flames a thread because he/she disagrees with the content of the thread. "

One who purposely and deliberately (that purpose usually being self-amusement) starts an argument in a manner which attacks others on a forum without in any way listening to the arguments proposed by his or her peers. He will spark of such an argument via the use of ad hominem attacks (i.e. 'you're nothing but a fanboy' is a popular phrase) with no substance or relevence to back them up as well as straw man arguments, which he uses to simply avoid addressing the essence of the issue.

-> avoiding the issue, calling people names (hmm, Xion? :> hihih). If anything, I'd be more pressed to consider myself a flamer, except I don't actually go out calling people names unless they did the same to me first. :p I'm contributing to the discussion and attempting to address the issues as coherently as possible. So... troll within a troll... trollception?

-> technically, I can't be trollbaited though because I essentially have enough free time to post every now and then, taking a break from studying and whatnot.

What you can learn from the basics of fighting games, whiff punishing, spacing et. al. can also be applied to real life as well. I used to be a member of my high school and college's fencing team (just in case you guys need proof, or are bored out of your minds, google for "shaun yap fencing ateneo") up until I graduated a few months ago. While my body was recovering from the stress of training, I'd look up articles by Sirlin, go for AOW sun tzu stuff, and read whatever Seth Killian's been writing. (see : definition of scrub, it's very relevant to this discussion as well)

Real life isn't just about life and death. It's not as clear cut as that. I'm pretty sure being a member of the team helped in my application for law school though. If I get lucky enough and actually pass this, I'll be on my way to making sure I don't... "die a thousand deaths" from unemployment and poverty.

    False.

Merely getting the opinions of a select few is different from "everyone hates you."

"you can't even write proper posts." --> you can't even post properly. Your thoughts are cluttered. Your methodology is sporadic. Look at yourself before you pass judgement on others lol.

You can't blame me for putting out seemingly inconsistent thoughts. If the basis of everything is flawed to begin with (i.e your arguments), then you can't expect much. Lol.

"what I said is true," -> I could use this line and say that anyone with half a brain won't say otherwise. Does that prove anything empirically speaking? Nope. Lol.

Legit gameplay has nothing to do with winning: so what does? Luck? Hahaha.

Ive been reading here and there and it seems 0kills wins this argument, hieu's posts are full of anger and emotion, and 0kills answers with reasoning.

In my opinion hieu you sound like hikarumage whenever he complained about how people played. I used to ragequit 8 months ago around november and before that too but i changed, does that make me like 0kills too?

To think heif and apprunner were just looking for a match with 0kills and complementing his skills, then hieu comes out of nowhere he is a RQter!!!!

Either way im not on anyones side but before THAT week that he said he would RQ just for the LOLs he was already around 3k with his akuma not being RQter

Akuma should also play keep away when there is space between the characters he has lowest hp and very easy to stun, when upclose is a different story but akuma player must also know when to get out of a situation AKA teleporting out

oh why thank you. I really appreciate it. Been playing volt for more than a year now, I can only tell that the mechanics are similar, but not completely, to the console versions, only got to whatever level I am today through countless matches. I've experimented with other characters but I've found runaway akuma to have given me the most wins. :D

I uploaded a recent replay vs DROQQA's sakura. I think it's the only rare time I tried an akuma that actually went in for the most part. Might get some pretty cool set-ups from that one too :) The better ones start at 2nd round, I've been working on what I've seen in the real sf4 and incorporating it into volt, but meh, I still love running away more lololol

props to you too captyad. :)

"but our arguments had nothing to do with..." -> let me finish this one... "had nothing to do with hieu; off-topic: haha I love wordplay." My beef (this time around) started off with shane. We've already, or at least I'd like to think, ironed our differences out.

My God would you girls quit fighting, I log on to see what everyone is up to and I'm greeted by like 10 pages of douchery. This thread used to be a place where people came to say good game, and learn from each other, now every other day someones starting shit with someone else, Jesus dudes grow the hell up.

In other news good games the other day Jibba you whooped on me pretty hard, I was bummed we only played a few sets but it was good running into you none the less.

Don't worry about Hieu, I am unsure if you guys have played yet, but I have a feeling he would beat you in the game, and from skimming through all these posts, excuse if I am talking out of my ass, but to you, its about winning the game, not an argument on a forum or battle network. So, why don't you two handle this already.

Your akuma is shit, annoying as ####. But I can say your shit because I am able to beat your tactics. :D
