    One last call to anyone competing and hasn't posted up their BP yet. I'm gonna make up the brackets and I'll probably be posting you non-BP guys together, so the skill levels may be a bit outta whack.

    possibly leave out aBlueLeaf and KiddToKMart -- I haven't seen either of them log in lately, and I added them thinking they'd be interested. best to leave them out until they confirm entry.

    Okay here's the deal. After working on the tournament bracket a bit I've realized that we have an odd number of players and that there will be byes all over the place because of it. My solution is this: we go for a round-robin/leaderboard type of tourney. Everyone will play everyone else at some point and points will be awarded. 2 points for a win, 1 point for a loss, 0 points for a draw. Whoever has the most points at the end of the cycle is the winner. If everyone's down for this, I can make up the leaderboard/1st round and we can start immediately.

    I think this way might be a bit more fun because we'll all get to play a greater variety of people.

    I might not do this tournament. Just had a few games with XD4RKSHADOWZX and I just cant play with all the lag. Im from Australia so I guess thats why. Sorry guys, I didnt realise the lag would be so bad, count me out :(

    @soulsearcher

    Originally I had it the way you said it but realized some people might be put off by getting beasted points-wise if they don't win at all. I'm okay with doing it that way but I don't wanna have a bunch of people with hurt feelings. It'd be nice if we could do this regularly and if everyone has a good time then the chances are better that will happen. But it's whatever.

    @Snooper

    Haven't you had lagless matches before? Or was it only with Euro players?

    But the way you put it means youre better off losing than drawing. And ive had lagless games, but most of you are from America and I'm from Australia. In fact most of my ranked games are lagless, as are those against Mikkel1977

    Well, draws rarely happen and they're rather inconclusive. In a way, it's almost like a wasted match if no one wins or loses.

    It's weird but it seems like the netcode is different for a ranked match than a friendly one. I can play a ranked match over 3G and it's usually okay but I have to have a 4/5 bar connection to get a lagless friendly match. I wonder why that is.

    Where can you see the bars, as in 4/5 bars?

    The reception bars in the upper-left corner of the screen. Unfortunately out at my place my reception rarely clears 2 bars, so I usually just play on the wifi at work. :-/

    No thats not the problem, its fine for me at home. Friendly matches tend to be a bit more laggy just because less people play friendly, so they match you with someone further=more lag. I dont think its the netcode as when I play with Mikkel1977 who I think is based in Singapore (sorry if thats wrong) its perfect. But the point I'm making is that most of you are in America, so the matches would be laggy which would be annoying for me and the person I'm playing.

    If you're going to do a round robin put me down for it, but I wouldnt wanna screw up games because of lag.

    Ah, I see what you're getting at. Well, as long as the lag is isn't like 2fps I don't mind a little bit.

    But yeah i think round robin is the way to go. I'm just wondering how fast we can get through each round. If we have 18 players, that's like 9 matches per round. 3/4 days should be enough time to have everyone schedule & play their matches, right?

    Yea. But some people might not be able to play at certain times, so it could get confusing, with the time zone difference and everything.

    I dunno why, but if I accept your invite, it goes on for a while and my whole game just hangs. Perhaps that's because I'm using the version of iOS who should not be named. :p
