I've been working on safe jump setups. Since alot of people don't play AE/aren't too techy, here's some definitions and examples. I'm working on empty safe jumps, with the idea that you will land and be blocking, baiting an uppercut/aa/super/ultra attempt. I have included some with special moves and no jump that might bait your opponent too. e.g. Empty Safe Jumps Guile: After a cr rh knockdown (hard knockdown/untechable), an empty jump can't be punished. After a throw, Standing K or Dash works. What happens is that the first move is purely for timing and is a mashable move. If they attempt to punish the jump in, you will land and be able to block. Some Safe Jumps give you opportunity to time with a special move so you can gain some free meter e.g. Guile After GHK/EX Flash Kick Sonic Boom, Jumping P/K (10 meter) cr mk, Flash Kick (30 meter) Cody After Ruffian Kick, (EX) Criminal Upper (Techable) Ruffian Kick, Jump (20 meter) N.B. 1 segment of super gauge is 250 All these safe jumps were tested against Ken's Dragon Punch (3-4frame startup). Against other characters with a slower punish, you have more room to be creative. OS safe jumps are much more difficult and timing specific. In essence, you land on your opponent with a jumping attack which, if they attempt to punish, you will be blocking, but if they stay still you hit them. They are intrinsically based on how fast characters can punish moves and you abusing the startup frames
Good games Shane. Haha. My Blanka got your Cammy. I didn't use SP assist. On the last Blanka game. Lol.
lol Those games were horrible ok I was horrible. I was trying some new strategy on you (not really strategy but testing things). Cammys moves just are not natural to me so reacting to anything usually means I'm going to get punished.
I love both KoF and SF:Volt, but they both have problems in the online department. In SF:Volt, I have a better chance of finding someone at the expense that it's up in the air on the connection quality and I have better chance of hitting someone where there is lag of some sort, mostly input lag. For some reason, if it's smooth, my opponent usually quits after a match or two. A laggy match opponent will want a set. In KoF, the connection is a lot better at the expense that it takes forever to find someone.
But you cant compare the 2 games They are worlds apart KOF has that insane i caught you, you are fked factor And that cartoony style i dont like THOUGH it takes skill to complete those combos SF4 has more action XD, is more about mind games and reading And awarness on you bars, what combos can you execute Every character is diferent, and almost every move has its counter and or punishment In KOF i get the feeling all the characters are the same Just the combo input is different But what do i know XD I just threw in my opinion
i feel the same capt thanks for training my old kitten wedia. alright boys i m off this weekend, dont miss me too much ok
So how much would I have to pay to see a Drighur vs. TenOnez best of 30 concept match? Abel v. Boxer. Please make this happen, folks.
Although I understand your logic on KOF v SF, Thats actually why I personally prefer KOF, I HATE the Volt mind games, and the difficulty in which you have to perform combos. I play KOFXIII more than KOF-i2012 but one makes you good in the other, and you cant really do that with Volt and AE. I will tell you this though, SF Volt also requires skill to perform a lot of those combos too, Heif and Squall's Dictator, no average scrub can do what they do, how many folks just starting can cr lp, stand hp, dp and make it actually hit 3 hits with Ryu? Dont sell Volt Players short lol I prefer KOF, but I have respect for both Volt and KOF pros. With that said, ::trash talk:: KOF kicks Volt's ass, "que the random fanboy reason why because im too tired to say one"
Well, he wasn't all that good so I just had to play lame and keep using Sim's long punch. He wouldn't give me a rematch.
There was a bug that allowed it prior to one of the last two updates. I asked him how he did it through GC but he never responded. It was pretty awesome once I started playing by sense and watching where the dust kicked up to know where he was.
anyone bought street fighter x tekken PC version? Man i have been quing for ages, can't find anyone i can actually play with on online, thinking to return the game.
Is that really possible??? That's no good. Infinite meter? HOw? Hacking? This KoF is different from the older KoF games that I'm used to. Maybe i didn't play them on a high enough level but I don't remember them being as combo-centric as this one is. They were more like SF in terms of the footsies game, but then they were slower too. And I think meter management is tougher in KoF because you have more things you can spend meter on and two different meters that all go towards the same things. It's one aspect of the game I'm starting to get the hang of but it was tough to figure out at first. And WTF happened in those last couple pages? Juls up in here causing carnage?
Ten! Good games about a week or two ago on KoF. I know nothing about that game, got it just incase I ever felt like playing lol. That first game I totally beat you with nothing but mindless mashing, 2nd and 3rd game you turned into the ten0nez i know: "Oh heif thinks he can just mash, well watch these amazing blocking and punishing skills" haha, I really wanted to stay for more and try different characters but I was heading out with the girlfriend, hence the waiting at match screen thinking I could actaully type to you and not just use pre created messages lol Anyway, if you do ever want to play again you can send me an invite, although the last time I turned that game on was when playing you!
I think that meter management is quite similar between games. HD meter is like fadc meter crossed with genei jin super. Super meter is super meter + ultra (neomax) meter. I think its great in both sf and kof allow for different attitudes to meter. With guile, I love saving it up for a big combo or to spam out cheesey players. But it sounds like you're very conservative about your meter usage with guile, trying to get optimum damage whereas I'm going for position. In kof, I just use meter whenever I can for a larger punish, but some people want to hd and neomax
