One time, I reset this Gief in the Japanese server with Cr. MP, and that Ultra came out as soon as he hit the ground. Dat mashing got me then. Who's Hiryukage?
Oh, sure ultras are easy to do. But then again we are both probably purists. I used to play sf4 and xvsf at arcade. Xvsf is huge on the execution, without the twentybillion assists mvc2 has. But ultras are just another balancing factor in sf. Zangief may have the best damaging ultra, but he is constrained by movement and it's really hard to land it at times. You will see Cyrus dominate people without ultras and you will see 1k zangiefs get completely out outzoned. Guile and co on the other hand have very situational ultras, but their normal and special moves make up for it
Shane i could say good games but i am salty now and you've played really lame in the end matches. Next time i will also just wait and counterattack. That's what i hate about this game. Playing offensive always leads you to a loss against defensive players.
Was I really playing that lame? Did you save any replays? I wanted to use different characters but I suck with everyone else. I was actually surprised DJ did as good as he did against zangief, that was my first time playing him I'm not sure how you wanted me to play zangief, if I played any more aggressive you would have just countered every move. I don't know, I had fun anyway. Gg
Yeah i was surprised about DJ as well. His ex move in the air is one of a few that counter zangiefs chest. I didn't save any replays and perhaps it was just my subjectiv point of view that you played defensive. Sorry for the overreaction in the end
Makes COMPLETE sense actually... Dont know Cyrus, but I see a lot of people on AE at the Arcade who RARELY use ultras who are beasts at gief using... But they do use Ultra 2, which of course with my Wild Adon, I am definitely prone to... Guile on the other hand, his Sonic Booms link into other Sonic Booms, into a flash kick, no meter at all, thats sick... But you can spam out a Sonic Hurricane on console to give you some space... plus both of his ultras are completely unsafe, moreso than the average Ultra so I see what you mean about his normals making up for it, they almost NEED to lol
Gee, thanks for making it sound like I quit on you in a match. You see, what happened is that I bet Apprunner that I could beat him 2/5 with SP assist off. He suddenly declares prizes. If I lose the bet, I would have to apologize to Batman. If I won, he would have to use Yun for 200 matches straight. So, basically, Apprunner is trolling, and I'm pissed with him. Also, about RQ-ing, I RQ'd by leaving the chat in rage.
