I just ran into a guy called Eden_Shadow (Sagat player) four times in a row and the first three times the game suddenly slowed down and disconnected as I was about to win the first round. The fourth time I kept walking forward doing nothing and he took the perfect in round 1. Surprisingly the same thing that happened in the first rounds of the previous fights now happened in round 2! What a phenomenon! Has anyone else experienced something like that? Come to think of it the fault was probably on my side since he perfected me in the only fight that went past round one + he has an awesome friendly record of 898W and only 2L What a guy!!!
I found a blockstring w frame advantage in that game. You can just spam the combo non-stop and win every match.
I haven't played in a LOOOOONG time. I will use Kim, Andy, and Clark Seems harder than Volt due to learning 3 characters.
Game looks fun! Cant wait. I will use Kim because he is Taekwondo. What is dumb is Kim isn't a first name in Korea...just a last name. WTF. At least understand the naming convention before naming the characters
In 97-98 I can use any one except the old drunk guy. my favorite chars are yamazaki, mary, and yashiro since 2001 I didn't play too much. I used to organized a kof tournament locally in toronto with another 2 friends, met a lot of great players in person.
ooooo. damn you gonna be goood! I was always a better SF player than KoF. But i learned the same great SF players usually were great KoF players too... gonna be fun
they r useless if u can't actually manage 2 pull them off lol
Practice makes perfect XD ^.^
I mean stuff like the messed up hitboxes, ridiculous amounts of blockstun so you can't combo anything, a combo system that actually punishes you for doing longer strings, the lame Ultras etc. Though KoF has Ultra type attacks but they take three stocks of meter so they take longer to get and come from thr same meter your EX moves do. So far KoF just seems like a more solid game and I'm excited to get into it. There will be ragequitters but at least the game won't have (I hope anyway) Thr amount of shenanigans that SF4 does. Good lord this is taking too long! xD Yes yes, let the Great Migration begin boys! Except that it has no online multiplayer. X_x If it did though.... Cmon give it a shot Arya! You might end up liking it better! I'll probably still come back and play Volt every now and again but I'm looking towards really diving into KoF.
lol nice. I think the old drunk guy named Chun or Chin i mainly use Kyo, Ryo, Irori, Ralph, Clark, Terry, Andy, Joe, Benimaru, K', Robert, Mai and The Grabber in Kyo's team.
I like K' too, very cool char. the grabber u mean Goro Daimon, he's so over powered in kof 98, the light kick is very annoying. In 97 sometimes I'll pick the 'infinite hitting' team: Terry, Yamazaki and Kyo Kyo's infinite is hard to do though.
lol yup daimon love that guy. In 97 i picked robert n-groove infinite kicks , terry, Kyo Yamazaki is also a badass i use him too but not that often. I used his overhead to mess with people
Sorry for the wicked late response. Been swamped lately with work and the kids. What have I missed? Interesting that you do so well against Abel, although it's not like there are many good ones around. I guess I just see the matchup as better than Sim's because when I do bait/block a spiral arrow or uppercut, I can actually respond with a good punish. As for Sim . . . yikes. I played him a bit recently and am super rusty.
oh kim hes good. Has crazy 2 ultras or supers (whatever you call it) and can be tricky. he has some charge moves and normal moves. depends on the version of KOF but not sure but his ultra can be used to chip out some damage. i also like that guy
