The button layout on iPad is awkward. The d pad is huge. It makes jumping a chore. I know jumping isnt the best tactic, but I really miss it

Finally got a, sort of, "Get a life" message on GC. Apparently, I've been playing this game for two weeks and need to get some sun. This is two weeks straight of course. Not two weeks over like eight months added up from me just jumping on for about 30 mins to an hour per time. Hopefully, the person understands that the game adds up all playtime together from since you started. Oh Volt. You make me lol.
Any tips for a new player? I've been liking Ryu and Yun and probably want to spend most of my time with those two. Any things I should stay aware of when playing these two?
Yun is hard to master and low tier. He has low hit points and low damage output. Ryu is probably the 2nd or 3rd most powerful character. Also Yun is more offensive and Ryu tends to be more defensive. Edit. Watch replays of Felix For Yun and NYC Chinatown for Ryu.
