If you can master blanka you will realise he has the upper hand at most situations blanka is a hard to read character (if you dont spam) His anti air can reach far across the screen, air P is pretty much the ultimate zone (in my opinion), electricity makes you pretty much invinsible and auto counter to many moves. Ex ball can fly trough projectiles and is pretty fast. Ex cannon(i forget if this is real name) ball can be redirected. Standing kik is a good anti air if timed right. Back slide has a stupid insane range. His super can be comboed out of a ball. His ultra has high damage and can be timed just like his super. You can watch shanes replays or some of the good blankas and see what i mean Check out this replay (even though -40C/f is a rage quitter he is very good at blanka) http://sf4iv-en.capcom.jp/analytics/replay_download.php?r_id=20120327_01050336_429_C4276B12_rpdata&d=
I don't have a Japanese iTunes card lol. Besides, I like the game, but I don't play it quite as much as I used to anyway. Definitely not enough to want to jump between Japanese and English servers.
Guile's Ultra can be used as anti air while opponent just starting to descend from top arc of jump in. Btw, whats wrong with your card man, damn. 15? Haha
I just started playing this game....I played some Ryu agaisnt a Ken and all the ken did was his stupid shryukens. He didn't even move, all he did was just stay where he was and do his stupid little move, without fault. I'm pretty sure he was using sp assist to land every single one or something. How do I counter something like that? THanks
If you see someone doing that, try baiting them into doing it and punish them before they land, since it's a little risky to do it when they land because they can end up mashing it to hit you again. You could have gone up to him, as though you were going to attack, and when he Shoryuken'd, you could block it and then punish him with either a Shoryuken of your own or with a combo. Also, if he stood there, you could have crouching kicked him a few times. Mix it up a little. SP assist does not automatically make someone good, it just helps with inputting moves. It can make it harder, depending on the character, but from what you've said about your opponent he only knows to Shoryuken with it. You can have SP Assist on and still suck unless you know when and where to use a move.
Ten0nez thanks for the couple games. I Make this mistake sometimes: Smoke fat bowl, haven't played volt today, challenge an S tier opponent and the first round my head spins from how quickly paced and alert I need to be. Haha Your a true beast with rog dude, not any other rog in all of volt has your skill on the bison matchup... I was starting to adjust last set but you read me extremely well, when playing you I have to anticipate how your going to read me... Love the challenge!
Always a pleasure to fight you Heif! Thank you for the Rog compliement! You're the one that made me more aware of Bison's mixups though lol and made me get a little better at the Bison match up. Your Bison is really good and I had to figure ways on getting out of your mixups. This helped me with the Bison match up thing. We'll get this game working again somehow lol.
I had a crazy dream. So, I was in the Japanese server and fighting an Abel. The Abel did J. MK - Cr. LP x2 - St. HP - Tornado Throw. I don't know how he did it! I found myself in the training room later and it turns out he did a late cancel out of St. HP to Tornado Throw and it COMBO'D! I couldn't believe it! But then it turns out it was only a dream. WHY?! Frickin' hell.
Good games, Finix! Thanks for fighting my Abel! How would you evaluate him (especially after you almost perfected him? ) Sorry I left at 5, but I have to unexpectedly go out, so yeah. Still, those were very enjoyable matches and your Claw is still kickin'! Although, when you used Claw, it sort of felt like you were unsure of how you wanted to attack me at some parts...
Good games! Oh, I thought you left because it became too laggy! The thing you mentioned at the end kinda makes seance, it was laggy on the last match and I didn't want to do a big mistake (I tend to throw out terrible moves in laggy matches) so I was more patient than usual I think. your Able is very good!! I was surprised, I know my secondary chars are fairly shît but still you trashed them soooo well lol especially vs my Makoto. I LOLed xD Saw some sweet combos and mix-ups as well, if you carry on practicing him he'd be definitely one of your mains.
Heh, thanks! I think that Abel has a very easy time against Makoto, but I haven't fought Nash with Abel, so I dunno yet. Your Ken's doing pretty well, and I'm going to be PMing HManDan some Ken tips, so I'll send them to you as well to help you with him. Got to 3K BP with Ken in the US server, so I think that I can give you some tips fairly easily.
TenOnez, good games! As usual it's impossible to beat you when you rarely make any mistakes and get max punishes on all my mistakes. Amazing Yun. never seen other Yun use that back + kick as an anti air so perfectly, and nice Genei Jin resets too!
RIGHT, lack of laughter anybody? http://sf4iv-jp.capcom.jp/analytics/replay_download.php?r_id=20120320_19550327_296_5FB79CB8_rpdata&d= Switch language to Japanese first and DL this. Okay, yeah, he's a known RQer in Jp server, but still... THIS IS THE FUNNIEST replay I've ever seen LMFAO, TRUST ME!
