I liked that series of pokes in round 2...so much range from almost everything he has. Even the little short uppercut has a lot of range. Very cool replays :]
After watching those replays, I think you have a pretty good handle on the matchup (though I can't believe he ate 3 SPD's in a row in that first match ). Trying to trade hits is probably going to be more effective for you than for them, so if it happens, you'll probably take less damage and it'll put you in a more advantageous position. But again, FADCing through the Booms (or even just parrying them where you stand) seems to me like the best option if you're farther out. If you're close enough, you should be able to SPD them even if you block the boom. I can't imagine why you'd bother trying to Flash Kick Gief. If the move hits (and any smart Gief player will probably block it), sure you've knocked them down, but the cool down for the move gives them a bit of time to regroup and doesn't put you far enough away from him that it could be considered safe. if you FADC it, you've wasted half your super meter that could have been more effectively used for faster Booms to try and catch them off guard. I think the best wakeup options vs. Gief are either a neutral jump (and possible attack depending on what he does), a jump away, or a low kick/some low jabs. In my experience, they're usually expecting some grand attempt to try to get them away from you and so they don't think to block low or lariat on wakeup. If you jump, you beat an SPD/Ultra attempt, if you hit low, you can knock them out of either (the SPD anyway, not sure about the Ultra) before they get started.
I'm pretty happy to use 2 bars, FABDCing Flash kick, just to get back. But Gief's wakeup game is pretty brutal. If you're ballsy, Flash Kick, FADC grab on block or FADC Guile High Kick seems like a fine wakeup combo
I'm just going to end up losing it lol. The only way I could get to it in the first place is fighting someone with 6k. He didn't quit though, and was pretty good. Lets see.. Um.. Would you mind linking me to some Rog and Fei matches?
I find that if I jump back, if he tries to follow, I can attack in the air and generally hit him. But to each his own.

my goodness, freaking net got me some unbelievable losses. I dont mind losing to worthy opponents but man lag turned obvious win into disaster. (no I wasn't referring to u berserk, those wins I think U got me down). But jus some scrubs got advantage over me lol. Like I was doing Ryu, in the middle of combo the frame stopped upper didn't come out, FA, got a ultra. Or earlier doing Sakura got the guy to less than 100 hp, wanted to make it good did otoshi ex. Frame stopped again ate a full Ranging demon. just now e honda with no ex at all through put the fight, dude used Gief kept on overhead n 360, the guy was pumripud. fodge the Intrrnet. gg berserk. I wish the connection was better for us.
