eh, you did good against honda dude... you kept me out well, it was very difficult getting in. My Dahlsim acts in such a unique noob like way that I think after a few matches you probably would have destroyed him even more, it just catches people off guard lol.

I have had practice with some of the best vipers constantly with Bison so I have that match up down very good. Something I always forget to use is Bisons standing heavy punch against jumping vipers, I used it the last round and hit you mid air, it works so good I just always forget to use it.

I will say though, you were great with dealing with the bison pressure, most people let me chip 3 quarters of their life away before figuring out a way to escape, you escaped a ton of times and I had to keep the pressure up long distance, if that makes sense lol.

Good games, looking forward to more.

The mini uppercut? And what are u using it against? Burning kicks?

I do fairly well against Vipers but need all the help against YYOO :D

Standing high punch is what heif ment its anti air against a burning kik that comes up front (up front means performed right after a super jump or from the floor)
But it doenst work on Ex burn kik, cross up burn kik or a falling burn kik

I didn't know that a LVL 1 FA as a counter hit has the same effect than a LVL 2 FA...

    SF4:Volt Premier League

    Alright folks.
With the SF4V TouchArcade Battle Royale well underway, and the winners' bracket down to 8 titans (with a number of players still alive in the losers' bracket), I imagine the tourney will be done in another few weeks.

Since we have all these new players here at TouchArcade, I figure it's time to start sign-ups for the Street Fighter IV: Volt ~ Premier League.

For those familiar with the English Football League, it'll be similar to that. Players will be divided into tiers/groups of 7. Every month ("season"), you'll play one set against every other player in your group (6 other ppl). One set = 6 games. At the end of the month, top 2 players in each tier move up into the next higher tier. bottom 2 players in each tier move down into the next lower tier.

There is no "schedule" for matches -- it's up to players to organize their matches against others in their tier. You could conceivably finish all 6 matches on the first day of the month.

I'll be taking any questions ppl may have, and hopefully work out logistical kinks now rather than later.

Sign-up sheet at http://www.tinyurl.com/SF4V-PL. Additional information + website will be forthcoming.

edit: I'd like to keep registration restricted to TouchArcade forum users, Denjin Dojo players, and maybe a handful of other players. Players of questionable reliability, availability, respectability, and common courtesy, are not welcome, at least for Season 1.

Normal headstomp starts faster than seismo... so make sure if your playing a viper who seismo at all you punish them with headstomp.

Vipers normals are terrible. Her crouching kick to thunder knuckle is quick and will hurt, block the first one and throw out a cr light kick or cr medium punch and combo into pyscho or knees. If you pressure her good and fast while on the ground, she wont be able to do much but block, take advantage of this, bisons chip damage is deadly.

Just standing and P will punish viper in air depending on situation. Play around with it, it is an awesome tool that I use very poorly.

So, played a person named "yubotomy" in Ranked. Yubotomy has 1167 BP, but doesn't play like it at all. I don't know how yubotomy is that low. Freakin' does really well with Sakura, Viper, Abel and Makoto.

    So out of 16 matches:

    (TenOnez - yubotomy)
    15 - 1.

Connection was good enough to be offline. I'm gonna upload our match where he was using Abel. I tried to save one where I fought his Makoto but went too fast to the rematch screen. Sorry. :(

Ah ok cool. Seems risky as hell with insane timing. Will hit up training room for this.

Yeah I usually have a ExStomp ready for when I anticipate the fancy 2x-3x seismo. :)

I have to practice more because a simple AA knuckle knocks me out of my pressure game :(

I always try to counter in between the Lk- tknuckle but the second Lk- tknuckle always beats my Lk or med cr P

Not so fun Balrog fact: You can't link into his sweep from St. LP because the game will register the Cr. K as Cr. LK unless you time the sweep a bit differently, which makes St. LP - Sweep impossible unless St. LP is a counter hit.

    ...
    Cammy:
Dash. Dash forward, dash back, dash everywhere. When I get a knockdown, I like dashing forward, even if I'm right next to my opponent's "corpse." Sometimes, they'll be baited into attacking, sometimes they'll just wait, and sometimes, they'll jump. Unless you're up against a pro, you won't really see a back dash away. Your options are to throw, Cannon Spike, or back dash. Throwing is usually what you'll be able to do. Cannon Spike is a little risky if you don't have meter, but if the opponent attacks, you will either hit them or trade with them. Back Dashing will allow you to punish attacks like Tiger Uppercut severely, or just stay safe.

Cannon Strike. Cannon Strike is Cammy's dive kick. It's a really good move. Use it to get over fire balls AND build meter, tick into a throw, combo... yeah. You can do an instant Cannon Strike by doing Down + Down Back + Back + Up Back + K. Doing an instant Cannon Strike after a Focus Attack gets a nice small bit of extra damage, ALTHOUGH YOU HAVE TO LEARN THE TIMING VERY WELL. You need to hit below the knees to combo after a Cannon Strike. It can cross up the opponent and all that sheep and I'm getting bored from writing this so I'll write more later. :|

    Pretty cool, eh?

Patience. Rog's Anti-Air punch can beat Bison's headstomp, if timed right and if he does a Devil's Reverse, I think that's what it's called, you can keep doing Rog's Anti-Air to hit that too. Sometimes I focus them to get space and sometimes punish, but it's risky.

Space him and be aware of how frequently your opponent teleports because those can be punished with charge punches. Since Bison can teleport, it makes Rog's mixup game a little harder since he can just teleport out of situations.

Be careful of his Psycho Crusher. You can punish that with a punch combo if you block it right or save it for a charge punch in case you know your opponent is going to teleport after doing it.

    Again, just be patient.

the heavy standing punch does not require insane timing, trust... play with it in a live match against viper, you will see what I am saying, especially when they like to be jumpy close up.

The two most annoying things about viper: Her uppercut, and the cr kick to TK combo.

Go to my battle netword profile, search my replays, page 8 and 9(I like the one on page 9 because I attempt a crazy come back and get very close on one of the rounds) matches against Nero, arguably one of the best Vipers around.

    What he said ^

Patience is key in that matchup. Rogs that try to rush bison down are asking to get punished.

Also, this didnt happen the last time we played, but Ten0nez did an AWESOME job at pwning me with FA dash forward and grab on a couple matches a while ago. Everything I did ended up with me getting grabbed, it was just awful. This last time I learned to not rush everything so much and avoid the grabs! haha.

I checked them out and I am glad to see u also have trouble countering that damn Lk - TK :D

We have similar bisons, I just have to tighten up my Stomps on wake up.

Also is there a common knowledge about EXstomps on a foward jumping opp? Yours connect and mine seem to always whiff.

Yes tenonez os good player but I think is more likely not many barlrog player out there, for most of players including me I don't even know what barlrog can do, don't know the strangth and weakness, when I first time fight Tenonez, I don't even know sometimes I need to do stand block for the wake up, I don't even know his ex can absorb the first damage.

Even for the recent game I had with him, I was shock the power of his standing kick and focus attact, too many things I don't know, so I have to play blind like spam the uppercut a lot, so end up with self killed lol.

Once ppl understand the class is a lot easier to beat, but as because ppl don't get much exp fighting barlrog so that makes Tenonez like supper strong.
