I Know most of you dont play the console versions, but regardless, Im sure you guys will find this very entrrtaining to watch. Watch as the 2 most braindead characters Ive ever seen go at it. It will also show you some very good rushdiwn and mixups with Cammy. Just watch the first 2-5 minutes if you dont want to blow your brains out. http://youtu.be/pZUJsbxUNCc
Like I said his strategy was valid I was just expecting more. I guess what really bothered me is that he wouldn't continue after I won a round. I can understand not wanting to continue playing against people that you destroy but when the matches are somewhat close why would you not continue? When I beat good players one match I don't think to myself, "I'm better than him. I shouldn't continue because I don't want him to lose BP". I play again to see if it was a fluke, if I win again but the match went three rounds then maybe he's just warming up. I'm not going to say I'm better than someone unless I know I beat their A game, after two games you can't really say for sure if they are brining it or not. Lets put it this way tenonez, do you quit after one or two matches (especially if you lost a round)? Why not? Would anyone here say tenonez is not one of the best volt players? Why not? Who here hasn't played five consecutive matches with tenonez? You are confident when you say you are a great player and everyone here is confident when they say you are a great player, why? Because you don't run and you are willing to give everyone multiple chances to beat you.
I just posted a few replays from my matches with TenOnez today. I got smoked but think (hope) I showed some improvement. He's so patient. I took one round total but pulled off a very rare (for me at least) super -> ultra combo. Amazing patience: http://sf4iv-en.capcom.jp/analytics/replay_download.php?r_id=20120416_20220427_808_E5B5D023_rpdata&d= Super -> ultra combo (not the normal ultra -> super): http://sf4iv-en.capcom.jp/analytics/replay_download.php?r_id=20120416_20300428_178_E5B5D023_rpdata&d= The only round I took from him tonight: http://sf4iv-en.capcom.jp/analytics/replay_download.php?r_id=20120416_20360420_359_E5B5D023_rpdata&d= Great games TenOnez. You played awesome as usual.
A few days ago, I ran into psxsquall's Balrog. I won like 4-0 (he had to pull out bison a few times to keep my honest though). Then I played TenOnez's rog and I got slaughtered 0-6 I think. I'm not saying psxsquall is bad. He's on the steep learning curve for rog, but the point of that exercise was I was able to save some replays for squall to show him how TenOnez plays it it pretty much blew him away
Players have their own reasons to act like they do. We all agree that 1 match is not enough to declare yourself 'better than X'. If they brag about that, they are lying themselves. If they don't, I can't see any reason for get mad about it. In both cases, it's better to ignore them and move on. Not everybody will act like you want.
Depends on the person's connection, but if it's kinda good, I don't mind playing two or so more matches, win or lose. Heck, I probably surprise people within the 1k or low 2k bp area when I rematch them repeatedly. Not everyone plays like me though, like slrc_91 said. People enjoy fighting me and I enjoy fighting them. There are times where I do leave after maybe one fight. Sometimes I get tired or just get bored or I'm just having a bad day in Volt. I'm glad you all hold me in high regard like I do you all. Same Jibba! Great games! I had to save the super into ultra thing as a replay. That was just.. insane. You ultra'd and I tried to stay back, in case you teleported, and you teleported. Well, I tried to grab, while the ultra fireball is still slowly inching toward me and you just so happened to react with a super. Then I watched in horror as I bounced back into it. I think you shocked yourself since you just stood there and watched it lol. You're patient yourself though. We had like, 8 rounds where we almost timed out because we were playing hide and go seek all match and trying to get that hit in on the other. That's a good mind game session. We both had to think a step ahead of the other to get at least a few hits in. Yes, you showed a lot of improvement. That's how you play Dhalsim, hit some, and carefully bring your prey in and then attack. Then mixup and confuse them and attack and be patient throughout. Rog is kinda steep. His moves are turtle slow and all it takes is one tiny miss to eat a super, ultra, or a health eating combo. Sometimes you have to take risks to have a chance and sometimes you just have to out poke, and outsmart, your opponent as best you can.
TenOnez: Let's fight sometimes, I've seen your Rog, probably the best Rog in Volt. Jibba: Let's fight too, you must be good with Dhalsim slrc91: Lets fight, seen your replays, very good Guile. I want to learn more about Guile. ivwshane: Let's get it on man, your Blanka is good.
Haha. I did totally shock myself with that one. You caught me so many times when I tried to sneak in behind you so I was a little shocked when I caught you. But then I was blown away when you were thrown into the ultra. I was wondering after if I could have won the round if I caught you with a yoga flame. With the round I won, I was really hoping to catch you with the super at the end but you hit the ground before I could get it off and I whiffed. I totally thought I had blown another chance at a round. I wish I had been more of a challenge in the other 2 rounds of that match but I'll take it. Thanks for the kind words and for the matches. It was a great learning experience and a real workout on my fingers.
Going to watch Game of Thrones now but I'll add you. Good Sagats are so tough but fun to play. I've heard you're very good so I look forward to it.
Add me! It so rare to find good players on volt when I'm playing. They play on friendlies, I go to friendlies, then they go to ranked and I go there, now I can't run into any of them anywhere. I don't think I've ran into anyone thats ranked in the top ten on BN since players have been getting 5000+ BP.
Jibba: Good Dhalsim indeed. Lets play later, the little lag kills fun. Heif: I know you got to go somewhere, lets play again later then.
Lamhouman is a rage quitter! He beats me three in a row and I beat him in the forth match. F these f-Ing people!
Waaa only 3 people in the top 15 bp legit This game is going down the drain if more rage quitters take over the ranks
Well, had a hard fought set with Elion in Ranked. We played 15 matches. 10 me and 5 him. My head hurts now. It was very difficult. Very, very difficult. I have to react too fast. Sure, I don't mind. Not right now though, got a headache lol.
Dont blame the ragequitters blame Capcom for not emplementing more serious punishments for ragequiters.
I hate these guys the worst!!!!!!!! I think their generous people fir giving me rematches but then DC as soon as I win one!!! I just helped that douschebag up his BP for being a ragequiter. But calm down, BP Is just a meaningless number, those guys are nothing but clowns that need that meaningless number to feel good about themselves
Good games. I was a little off in the 2nd set. I was following the end of the Bruins game on TV. That said, you played great. It was very tough sneaking in on you. I should have played more of a zoning style against you but it's always fun to attack Sagat. I actually didn't notice much lag in the first match but it could have been adrenaline. I noticed some in the second bunch but it didn't kill the fun. I'm sure it affected you as much as me. I think I got a couple replays and may post one or two if they still look good when I watch them. Now maybe I'll get to Game of Throwns.
