So I just played nyak and lost, like most typical high BP players he only did two matches (actually that's 1 more than normal). His strategy consisted of walking backwards and waiting me to strike. Of course I have zero patience for that shit so I kept attacking. How is that fun? Especially considering he's played like that for over 10k matches. Whatever, enjoy your high BP.
I play Ryu the same way, I honestly see it as a legititimate strategy when I do it too, i will throw fireballs all day until you decide to come to me. When I play Ryu I become the ultimate turtle...and suprisingly I have fun doing it.
I do too. I played you yesterday and you used Ryu that way...don't remember the outcome but its a good strategy
He wasn't spaming fireballs, he was literally blocking the whole time and just looking to counter any move. I never said it wasn't a valid strategy, it is and so is spamming fireballs all day. Its just not very fun. I'd also expect a high BP player to do more than just be patient. Its funny though, I lost pretty easily in the first match (I was nervous and I was finally going to get to play someone good) but in the second match I got a round in, I guess winning against me didn't have high enough odds for him. Whatever. I just fought eskapade and we went three, no hesitation. We would have done even more but the wife just got home, I sent him an invite letting him know why I only did three.
I think it was funny recently he posted some stupid stuff and tried to say he left his TA account open and his brother pranked him...cracked me up.
Not really makoto, viper are the only 2 chars who cant turtle, or walk back both of them have to be very aggresive and be good readers. Makoto may have a defensive strategy but a defensive viper never works Unless im missing something
Actually it's a matter of tastes, I think. Sorry App, I've been busy, working on my webpage (a project from college). I've been barely touched the app or my iPod. And when I do, I'm not on WiFi. Makoto can't turtle, at least Viper can keep some distance if you're smart enough (Nero ALWAYS does that on me).
I don't think so. Annoying is how elion plays. Walk back, fireball, jump fireball, repeat. I actually like playing against him! His sh!t is so annoying but effective, I get pissed though when he quits after 1 match (and I've told him that). Nyaks strategy wasn't annoying at all, it was just boring. Maybe my expectations are too high. When I play a good player I expect them to play like Felix does or even apprunner (when he went super rush down on me the other day).
Hey...i have had much success against Blankas recently...played a whole bunch in Japan and beat a 4k there Lets practice some more. I will invite you if I see you. Don't be surprised if I lose...i am gonna rush you down like HEIF rushes down his pharmacist for painkillers
Apprunner? Rushdown? Wish I could have seen that! Yun can't really turtle, either. It's quite tough...
Sometimes, that's how it goes. Sometimes your opponent will rush, sometimes they won't. With Blanka, your opponent has to be cautious with rushing you down since you have good ways out of it. For example, I won't try to keep overhead punching your Blanka when I KNOW you're going to either: A) Hit with the ball B) Electrocute me C) Super Me D) Ultra me. Some people just play cautious no matter who they are going against, and that's their strategy. You may find that style boring, but it works. It's actually a decent strategy since it can make your opponent impatient and cause them to do risky stuff. Key word to use: Patience. No matter what. When you learn patience, you'll be okay most of the time. Figure your opponent out. I've fought Elion a lot and he does do that, but you have to remember, he's Akuma. You hit him like 3 times and he's stunned, then you hit him 1.5 more times and he's KO'd. I had to learn patience the hard way many times.. And still have trouble doing it from time to time.
