Starting to find a few good matches! Question though...Do people play with special move assist? I get the feeling a good majority of those I've played with do. :| I'm not a fan.
I use to play without it off, until someone told you have the same access to all your moves and tricks with it on. Never looked back, I always would get frustrated with my inputs not getting registered correctly, the combination of lag, small screen, plus touchscreen made it impractical for me to continue to use. Believe me if this was a console game, Id laugh at anyone scrubby enough to use SP Assist, but Capcom nade a good call on implementing it for an ios game that uses touch screen. Autoblock however is an entirely different issue...
I'm not a fan, but if it's there, then I don't see why not -- level out the playing field. Ppl will still need to use manual controls for EX moves, so the SP-only players are still at a minor disadvantage. Esp with the amt of lag, I've been dropping focus-absorb-dashbacks against hadoukens!! ugh .. so yea, I'll take anything available =P Don't want special moves getting dropped and having SRKs coming out instead of hadoukens, etc.
Do you know what sucks? When you play a good player in ranked and you are about to win the match and the damn game crashes! Aarrgh!
Just fought AngHell in friendlies, beat him 6/7 games he is solid with a lot of characters, didnt ragequit either. Turning a new leaf perhaps?
Xion and I have our disagreements on SP assist and whether it's viable for non charge characters but that aside, I have IMMENSE respect for Xion, Shane, Heif, SLRC and HarlequinRogue for not using SP assist. These people are incredible players and should be recognized as such.
When it comes to the sp assist issues, people do have different views on it. Why capcom implement the sp assist on sfiv volt? Obviously it is because we can not do the moves easily. Capcom ( also me) encourage us to have a high standard level of matches rather than a matches full of mistakes just because of worng special move input. Ask yourself whether you want a good match or a bad match? If I play with a guy doing many mistakes in the ranked matches, I won't give him the second chance to play. Those players who are proud of doing sp assist off should be at least do their moves correctly. ( i adore xion and leonel coz not only they do the move right bu also they are really good eith the character.) Please don't blame capcom for implanting a sp button there, blame yourself for choosing sp assist off!
