This game is great except for the matching system. I either get 0bp newbs that I destroy or I get 4000+Bp guys that ��������ing beast me. There's really no in between. Online sucks once you get to a certain Bp level. :-/ Lol, and yes, I know I'm whining. X-D
take the hits and block often. you can knock him out of his fierce punches with his green hand. also, just assume he will teleport when you get close...and use that to predict where he will end up. it's hard and frustrating I know. but once you get that first spinning pile river in, you can jumping punch combo him to death.(assuming you know how to string zangief's attacks together)
one fun thing in ranked matches is that you have to guess which character to play after a match. for example one game with Sagat vs Guile, i won, had to use some fbs because opp was highly defensive. So next match, my guess? he is gonna take fb character and probably Akuma, so i choose Zangrief. and yep, he took Akuma. the best thing is that you need to catch him one or two times and that's all, won the game. would be cool if Capcom would make normal lobby or stop making matches with extreme pings, sometimes the game just freezes and if you close app it is counted as ragequit, quite annoying.
I prefer learning just one character really well and being able to pull of all their combos 100% of the time and knowing what to do in every situation. I used to use abel because i used him in console versions, but his stepkick was nerfed in volt as you cant link standing fierce after it, and you cant use his u2 (imo it was better than u1), and lots of his good normals arent here. I use cammy now mainly, but its a bit annoying without her crouching light kick and standing medium punch but still, she has the potential to win against every character
I'm kinda bummed they decided to put Evil Ryu in the game. 5-soon to be 6- Shoto characters seems excessive to me. I'll be excited to check out Fei though.

Yes. Sagat is a shoto. Despite using Muay Thai, he using plasma and has an uppercut, just like the other shotos, so he's lumped in with them.
I thought they had to have tatsu as well.... but nvm. to anyone out there with the console version, what kind of character is fei long? rushdown like cammy, footsies like chun li?
