I understand it is a $6.99 app on IDevice. Compare to console and arcade, SF4V has a relatively smaller audience. But if I were the Capcom SF promotion manager, I would capitalize on every possible opportunity to keep the SF hype alive. They have sponsored AE and MVC tournaments... If SF4V can make it to one of those big tourney as a side event, that would be a awesome! We play SF4V for pride. Why not get noticed (and fight money down the road) when we all have the talent to be good at it?? I was thinking a compilation of great replays Youtube video of TA AC would be one big giant baby step to possible gaming stardom... But I don't know video editing... With this very well-run TA tournament, we could also present it to potential sponsors... That's why I am asking around and see if anyone is interested in advocating the greatness of SF4V and TA players... It is not going to be easy.
The heck... I just saw a Cody console match where he did Crack Kick - EX Ruffian Kick - EX Criminal Upper... http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=qQX5Z63dYJA#!
Ok let me be straight up here, the only reason this game isn't featured at tournaments, why theres not even a sub forum for it on SRK, Why we only get a couple hundred views on Youtube. Why no one ever takes this game seriously....The answer is because this game is on idevice. Theres really no ither explanation for it, the number if players on Volt probably ranges from a couple thousand, our community is already small enough as it is, subtract all the casuals and the people that bought this game and stopped playing it after a couple weeks, we probably have less than 300 serious players. Of those players, who will actually take it to the next level of serious to fly out to tournaments? Not many by my guesstimate. Now I may be wrong but idevices cant be streamed, so the spectator part of it is out the window, the lack of updates and balances are only hurting this games exposure as well. As much I'd like to see this thing happen, I dont think it ever will.
In console, you Get a high enough bounce off ex ruffian kick so you can land ex criminal upper. I could not replicate this on volt
Just played supposedly "The Best Girl On SFVolt!" She whooped me pretty bad with Blanka seriously she was doing sone nullroar type ish- pissed of that I lost though, plus she left me waiting on the rematch screen for 5 minutes...just to quit her stats say she pretty good with Good with Bison as her main and Blanka as her second, all the rest of the characters have a recird if like 4-64, her Ryu us 1-71 lmaooo Anyway, anyone ever played her is she legit? I see no drops on her card. And most importantly is she A SHE???
Sorry, I didn't end up going to bed until about 10am this morning because of an unintended night out. Maybe tomorrow or Sunday? Actually Sunday would be best for me cuz I don't have to play that day. I'd be TOTALLY down with that. If y'all need some tunes for a video, let me know cuz I could do it. I think the biggest hurdle to the game being more accepted would be getting the community at Shoryuken to get behind it, which they won't because: 1.It's on a handheld and they have a history of not taking those seriously. 2.Input shortcuts SF4V is actually a fair bit different from console SF4 (from what I've played anyway) so it's kind of like its own game. I think we have a pretty solid community for this game and I almost don't care if it gets more accepted. But with that said, I think making a video of really cool moments from the game would be awesome. We could post it in the SF4V threads on various fighting game websites or even petition SRK to see if they'd post an article containing the video. At least that way it would get people to notice even if they didn't accept it. And like I said earlier in this post, I'll do the music.
Jack has some nice piano intro music to build onto, have you heard it? Also, another Viper has joined the team..he posted on the TA message board in BN.
Hey man, I posted the challenge twice, once today. I dont know whats up about it...I know he is playing. edit: posted on BN just now too..
Fun Fact Akuma: you can cancel his uppercut (1st hit) into Super, and it will connect (not combo) if opponent doesn't jump away or something. But if u cancel his fireball into Super, it will not connect no matters what. Felix pls verify?
