Ggs Hieu, sorry I wasn't playing well, it's been a while + I had my gf nagging in my effing ear the whole time. Bitches don't leave you alone sometimes!....Anyways I'll play you again soon!!
Nah. You're just not as good as the Cammy vs. Cammy match up. You can handle turtlers so much better than I can, and I'm only one person against TONS of turtlers. I don't think my Cammy is better. mimimapu'? Oh sheep. ABANDON SHIP! Well, there are tons of "Forever Alones" that would kill to be in your position, I'm sure. So be thankful, even if it might get annoying.
Hey, did you see some improvement near the end. Part of the reason I was getting so hammered was I was trying to see what worked an didn't work. From my perspective, if I held still and tried to turtle, you would completely wreck me. I did better by moving and trying to be nimble. Would like to hear your thoughts.
Argh, I just lost a 4 paragraph reply because I got logged out. Let's see if I can remember what the hell I said. On Blanka Balls and Cammy uppercuts I've got the timing down pretty well with canceling the first hit of rekkas into super. I've also considered working on my timing to FADC the first hit in order to catch opponents off guard with a TT or other punish. I'll play around with Wheel Kick in training room when I get a chance. I could have sworn that I got punished with a throw recently (in an attempt to jump away after block IIRC). As for Ex TT against jump in opponents, do you mean safe jumps, jump attacks or both? I assume safe jumps. One problem I have is too often trying to Ex Wheel Kick and instead throwing out a whiffed Ex TT, leaving me open to punish. Need to work on my technique. I'll definitely continue working on my Cr. HP combos. I lost a couple friendlies last night and this morning focusing solely on those moves, particular the Cr. HP -> Falling Sky. The timing is a lot harder to do in online play than it is in training mode but the damage is so worth putting in the time. Is your GC ID the same as your name here? If so I'll add you so we can get some friendlies some time. Thanks again. Much appreciated!
I am, but I guess I won't know for sure until I steal my wife's phone and try it on hers. I do have the same issues from time to time with my thumb not hitting the right spot so I always chalk it up to that.
You were getting better around the end. I had a lot of trouble when you were near me on my wake up, because I sure as heck didn't know what you'd do. That's why I tried walking fullscreen to throw you at that one point. So, yeah, you're improving against me. I don't actually read Naruto. Why do you ask?
You are really cool guy, how the hell could you be single, get out there and bag a girl!! It's funny actually (True story coming): I went out to a bar/restaurant with my family recently and my (single) cousin liked a girl, I told him: "Go tell her you thing she's pretty and that you'd like to get to know her" He was shy in the beginning but I convinced to go....5 mins later he came back, they had exchanged numbers (she left building after) and when we got home my cousin was WASTED/DRUNK AS HELL and he got a text from her!! So I cracked my knuckles, took his phone and got to work, long story short(er), they are going to meet up soon =D So the moral of this is: Go and tell girls you like them, get number and then let me break the ice =P God of Yun could never be single lol GF has just taken my iPad and is playing Bubble shooter.....who has a spare flash grenade??
Like someone else said, check out Supa Fuka and Jepa. Eskapade is pretty good too. And there's one more that I think Ken Ken mentioned a few pages back. As for moves, I'm rusty, but his wakeup mixups are very good. His sweep into Sumo Slam works great and gets people scared, allowing you to work in his command throw (I think it's a command throw). When you have people on there heels about his command throw, that's the time to go straight into the Sumo Slam since it catches jump aways. I also really like jump attack mixups. Sometimes after a jump punch I'll go straight to the command throw. People are so used to jump punch into low kick or HHS that they just block and are vulnerable to the command grab. And if you connect the jump punch you can obviously link into super (this is in the challenges). The other tricky move that I like is to follow an Ex Head Butt with a jump attack. People often instinctively try to punish the Ex Head Butt without realizing that a) you can't, and b) that the recovery time is quick enough to allow you to keep the pressure on. I think that the jump kick (not sure about jump punch) after a blocked Ex Head Butt even catches jump aways. I'm sure I'll think of other ideas but those were off the top of my head. He's such a good character in many ways but can be zoned really, really well by Guile and good shotos.
when I asked for Honda advise, I was specifically reaching out to felix! I just watched some replays, I saw a honda with no pixels of life, no meter and a fire ball aimed right at his a wake up, normal sumo smash is able to avoid O_O didnt see that coming. I can't get over the standing kick either, the range is broken on it... especially when countering moves, it beats out a lot of EX start ups which suprises me
He has good hit points too. Most Hondas I hit way more than they hit me but they do so much damage and can take so much damage, I tend to lose
Good point. I try to treat CoD (I thought I heard them referred to as rekkas but maybe I'm imagining it) like Fei's rekkas and mix it up if I get blocked (sometimes stopping after one, others after two). I think this comes with general feel and experience after playing a character awhile.
I was noticing that, but his forward walk speed is good too, so far, FA one fireball then blocking seems to scare people. Its funny, no matter who you face, if you start charging forward and absorbing fireballs with great skill, you can see the oponent getting scared and running the F away from you haha I have done the jump in to Ex headbutt and have had great results, you are correct about honda being able to keep pressure even on blocked moves. He actually plays similar to bison... pretty good transition so far.
A couple tips, then. His super is awesome and has higher damage than most supers. (400) It also goes through fireballs. Once one gets experienced with Honda, they can Headbutt/EX Headbutt through a fast enough projectile. SUPER TOUGH, THOUGH, thanks to the TINY amount of invincibility. It's been done to me before. Hundred Hand Slap - FADC - Command Grab is one of the best tools in the game. J. LP is an awesome way to tick into a throw. Even his Ultra. Gootecks has left Cross Counter. His J. HK can cross up if done right. It is also your combo starter from the air. Punish opponents walking forward with your St. K, seeing as it hits low, too. Cr. K - Headbutt - Super is one of his strongest combos. I think this applies to all characters with a mashing move, but you need to hit the button three times for it to come out (for example, P P P = HHS). His neutral J. P can be moved around in the air, and keeps people out nicely. \ If you accidentally throw out a close up Headbutt that gets blocked, you can FADC it. EX Headbutt is safer than in the console version. His St. P is a great anti-air, thanks to it's excellent range and sheep. Hitting your opponent with the second hit of Sumo Splash leaves you completely safe. If it whiffs, you'll usually get punished.
Any move that has three sequences is usually called a Rekka by the comunity. Abel's second CoD hit also hits overhead, by the way, but isn't as safe as the first hit. For example, Yang's Mantis Slash is usually called Yang's Rekkas.
How old are u 9? Please say no cuz its embarassing I got my ass beat by a 9 year old haha shoobedush!
Don't worry Bison bro, when I get my bloody iPad back from these terrorists (gf) I'll play you with Honda ;-)
