@Jibba You can cancel the Sweep on block or hit for more options. On hit, you can cancel it into say, Tornado Throw just to gain meter. On block you can cancel in Marseilles Roll for mixup
So I noticed that my moves were a bit "off" today. I KNOW my inputs. Took a guess...yep, third link cable...broken just like the last two. Lost quite a few games today. Figured it was screen smudge before I figured it out. This one is particularly nasty. http://youtu.be/codP93IHs3U
Thanks Wedia. I didn't realize (or remember) that he plays Abel. I played a 5 (or so) set against him a couple weeks back. After he left, he sent me a GC request saying GGs and that he hopes to have some friendlies sometime. Seems like a nice guy. And I always see him on BN. I'll check out his replays.
What exactly is Yoga Sniper? I heard people talking about it (although they just called it Yoga Snipe) and tried looking it up but got differing answers.
The distance makes EX roll better for some situations. ALso I think there's a difference on the startup. After blocking Guile's first FK of the Ultra, you can escape with EX roll, but I'm pretty sure you can't with his normal roll.
Ok, so the TT doesn't actually connect, but it helps to build meter? I was trying to get something to connect by canceling sweep and it wasn't working.
Yoga sniper is dhalsim's in-air fierce punch (it goes diagonally downward for something like half screen). It can be used almost as an instant-air-jump-back punish against crouchers. Also, if you folks are looking for a good Abel, Drighur has DRAMATICALLY improved.
What? What's a third link cable? I watched the video but wasn't sure what I was looking for. I've felt that I've been "off" for quite awhile but assumed (and still do) that it's mental or that I'm missing inputs due to lack of physical buttons. I sometimes get a weird visual on the screen by pressing too hard. I'm not sure how else to describe that. I may have to DL Volt onto my wife's phone to see if there's any difference in my inputs.
Oh no, you can't get anything to connect. But if they block you can throw out like, wheel kick and get in for some chip. Seems like a decent mixup
Thanks slrc. I guess I can see it a sneakier way to get in quick against unsuspecting opponents but I always feel like I'll get caught by good players. BTW, I don't think I've ever played you. Mind if I add you on GC? Is your GC ID the same as here?
If the sweep lands, do Falling Sky for most meter or Marseilles Roll to screw with your opponent's charge. His EX Roll is very useful for getting out of the corner, or getting close to a spammer. Especially Shakunetsu Hadokens/Ken Hadokens.
Thanks Nullroar. I guess I should try to look on Youtube. It sounds like it differs from his normal air punch (like on Volt) but I can't quite visualize it. That was my problem when I heard people on other forums talking about it (as an instant air punish). I find that Sim's normal punch does fine with jump back punishes though (gets people by surprise A LOT). If I'm remembering correctly, drighur is shoryutofu. The last time I checked there were only two replays. Has he added any?
Jibba says that is Shoryutofu! He has a decent Abel but his Gief is the 2nd best Gief I have ever played! Oh my goodness...scary! We played a set of 3 with Abel and he switched. I only managed 3 out of 8 with his Gief. And they were a lucky 3. Completely threw me off as he has 0BP. Those pesky 0BP guys
Yeah, that second round of the last match was my shining time. Otherwise, you took me down quite handily. That's crazy.
