I can't decide between one tier or two. I understand the interest in one single tier but still think that most of us will just end up an appetizer for the S tier types. I do agree with the mind game aspect of being able to switch between characters with a simple 2x cap.

If you get 3 straight wins, just ending the set, or finishing the 5 set just to see the different match ups? I think the stats would be interesting to see, although once you have lost 3 in a row, you might not want to continue anyway lol I would have liked to see 2 different tiers, but one big one works too, I mean as we stated before, this isnt about who's main is better than other main.. its to see who can be a "generalist" as someone stated, and that is HUGE, most of the pull will be with your main, but I know some people like SLRC, may not even use his main during this....

I'm sure we both will agree that getting to do best of 5s with teh best Volt has to offer is worth it. But in the end, it's probably not going to be the most competitive tourney until us riff raff are out of the way. I think the first couple tournaments went so smoothly because people were mostly still around the same level back then. With a couple of lucky runs, I think I managed 2nd and 4th, largely because there were no pesky Cammys and because the likes of Squall, TenOnez, etc. weren't around yet.
It will be fun. We all know who the best players are already...another tourney will just confirm what we all know. However, this is more for fun and to give the generalists a fighting chance. People like Xion and Felix should shine even more as they have a diverse group of characters they can use. I look forward to all the replays being put up. Saying all this...my money is still on TenOnez
upsets happen, anything is possible, especially if you pick your characters correctly and the other guy picks bad match ups... Doesnt matter who is involved, most of the people in the "regular tier" that we previously made, have a great chance at beating the "s tier" guys..

Guy is really good, but he clearly prefers style over substance. He routinely passes up damage to style on people. That said, did not know you could do EX tatsu, LVL2 Focus, uppercut, FADC, otoshi. That was a new one. A total waste of meter of course, but super cool.
Dictator can do it. He can cr.lk x5 some characters and just throw out (ex) knee/ex crusher to get the extra 2 hits.
