It's a matter of tastes, I guess. You can play without SP assistant to make the game more challenging, to have more fun, to prove something or because you feel you don't really need it. But yes, no one force you to play that way.
In defense of Shane and the others, they are certainly more impressive not using SP but it is a lonely journey. Wedia is right. You won't get medals or recognition or extra BP. You just get the personal satisfaction that your journey is harder than the rest. It's not like sp off is the norm. I bet less than 5% of the total base turns off sp assist.

You pointed wrong. You got the 'Command Fighter' and 'Manual Defender' medals, as achievements But yeah, besides that, you are right. Would be cool if you get some bonification for not using SP assistant. Like a medal on the BN.

F--- NO! ! I am not salty but the lag was bad... His style lacks variations, very static, defensive and has low in-game instinct. Meh It doesn't bother me. I am sure he will take the loss like a man but he will also alter his loss number. The last time I played him was about a month ago and he should have his 11th loss. It stayed 10 for the longest time. I called him a cheater on his BN profile but he deleted it. He is well aware of what's going on. ivwshane and -40F(C) are easily the better Blanka players HE IS A SCRUB
First off I've never, not once, stated that I'm the greatest player because I don't use sp assist. Second, I have no problem with anyone using it on. My issue is that I don't think comparing two players where one uses sp assist and the other doesn't is an apples to apples comparison. That's it, end of discussion. I also put "no sp assist" in my sig because I do feel it's a badge of honor to be able to play this game with it off. Is it hard to do certain moves with sp assist off? Hell yeah! But that just tells me how much more of a bad ass you are if you can play well without using it.

And: SP proud. No problems with having more options available at the push of a yellow button.. edit: not including turbo hadouken..
