I think the best thing to do against good blanka players is to slowly advance and try to back them up into the corner. Then its all mind games from then on. Try to FA his slides and just counter. You need to set the pace at your level. Just my two cents.
Hi Wediafom, sorry miss ur request again, I was taking a shower. I have some time now before I go to bed.
I just uploaded all of my replays and I deleted them off my phone. I usually only save replays of my wins but I usually only save them if I've been beaten by them. If anyone has any issues with them let me know and ill delete them.
... "you play with the phone more than you play with your wife" "you play with the phone more than your wife plays with the phone" ... not quite clear .. and .. um .. yea ..
Good games hieu. Woke up from your invite and I was like, why not. Was your main always blanka? You've used so many characters in the past that I don't remember anymore. I had some derp moments in those matches. I'm sure you've had them too. I hope I didn't disappoint. Time to get just a bit more of sleep now.
Anyone willing to drop some knowledge? I need some anti Vega technology and punishes. I'm also talking in a general sense not character specific. Trying to DP his flying monkey attack is kind of wonky, I can only hit him about 30% of the time. If the Vega player realizes your trying to DP they either grab you or fake you out to make you whiff. Autoblock works great but again a good Vega will catch on and grab you instead. Not only that but a good Vega will space the hit so perfectly that you cant punish him. What in the hell do you do when he activates super!?!?! Is his EX rolling attack safe on block? Invincible on startup? Trying to air to air his flying monkey attack will also get you grabbed or hit anyways. What do I do against this character?
Main blanka. Back hop to always be at or near full screen (out of vega's slide kick range). Mash electricity. Laugh at his helplessness.
Hieu and Nullroar you guys are funny, Ima try that Blanka electricity thing just to troll lolol Anybody else willing to drop their 2cents?
Don't uppercut his flying attacks. Thy can bait and ultra. Using guile, jumping p works wonders. I guess for other characters this means picking a jumping attack with a good hitbox and priority. Jumping back throws off their distancing Against ultra, jumping Attacks can work or get out of the way! Dash/backdash/teleport His ex roll is projectile invincible. Can be beaten on startup Wth cr jab. Punishable with a quick longer range move (ex criminal upper can punish it) They can fadc the roll into a grab if you aren't paying attention
Uploaded a video of me trolling an akuma with Cody. I use all available moves to beat his fireballs - zonk - ex zonk - ex ruffian - cr mk (quite hard to do) It would make a good teaching video. Plus, it's fun trolling akumas like that (and then I picked claw and trolled him some more. I wonder why he didn't want to play on..)
Well, what I like to do with Bison: FA the flying attack, dash twords them on their recovery and standing kick. The good Vega's will only eat 2 or 3 of those before realizing I have the timing down on the FA The grab can be annoying, but just don't stay in one place, keep moving around, jump back and throw out air attacks. With Bison, if I am playing a Vega that likes to play in the air, I just spam devil reverse, or I jump time my jumps and go for the medium air punches. Over all, against Vega, I try to not stand still(against the good ones) the noob ones I purposly stay crouched for long periods of time or stand in one place to bait the over head attacks... easily FA dash punish lol
For all the NYC Street Fighters (PeteZ, DROQQA, Fastbridge, Shinrukuzero .. anyone else? ) -- it sounds like Chinatown Fair might be reopening soon!!! http://kotaku.com/5894880/heres-what-new-yorks-chinatown-fair-looks-like-right-now
Oh yeah, those were awesome games. Had to really adjust to your Balrog. Pretty awesome one you've got there, a bit above hopelessfromhell, in my opinion. That's a problem. A lot of what Yun does seems unpredictable, but you need to go in there with a plan. I don't feel like doing a huge writeup, at the moment, so here's an example. Every match, I test to see if my opponent will fall for a Kobokushi on wakeup. If they don't, I try it again. That usually means they don't know how to. If they counter it, then I do a Kobokushi feint the next time so they can do a move for me to punish. Although, there are characters like Sakura, Makoto, and M. Bison who need meter or ultra to punish it. Another Yun player (who arguably has a much better handle on the mirror matchup) I know is mimimapu'.
