I'll definitely look you up. If you're anywhere near as good with Gief as you are with Bison I'm sure they'll be entertaining and I'll probably learn a lot from them. Part of my problem is still not knowing matchups very well, and that's something that will come only with time, experience and/or watching a ton of replays. I find myself having trouble learning how to punish a lot of moves on block.

And I agree about that chop. It's freaking awesome! It's also hilarious when people don't know how to react to it like it sounds like with your Balrog match.

Dem technology we created in the training room!

Agreed. So we already have a Cody player in the TA community...

1)I jump away too... and the worst ones are when I tried to focus the hooligan and didn't have time to do anything after, making me eat an Ultra.

    2) patience = win. Good job!

I wasn't being a d*ck, but I sure was trolling for like 5 seconds in a match by teleporting around Nullroar's Blanka heheheh :D... and I paid the price for it because it's not really safe, just fun to watch, hopefully from his side too.

I think it's two separate categories. It's like comparing Neco and H9moto right? I'd say Neco has the IQ to win while H9moto has the execution of a god.

Don't forget that there's fake members repping toucharcade.com. Played against a guy named prince (with funny symbols, I know he was already brought up earlier, but it was the first time I faced him) and he ragequit on me in friendlies on a best of 5 rounds match. I was down 0-2 with Akuma against Bison and made a comeback by downloading and extracting the file with his tendencies. ;)

Yeah, the road with Zangief can be frustrating, especially when someone like Cyrus even talks about the invisible wall between him and some oponents....

Banishing flat is a good punisher for a lot of blocked moves. Lariat and SPD, too

I once did a 20 set with him and it was great. I think that's still the longest set I've ever done on Volt. Also, I checked out the two replays of Drighur on BN (both with Abel) and it's definitely his play style, although if it was him he was really rusty. The biggest similarity was that Drighur absorbed a ton of fireballs to build his Ultra meter. But he kept missing with his Ultra which was very un-Shoryutofu-like. He makes me want to play Gief and Abel. I think Abel would be fun since he's not a low-tier character but still nobody really uses him. But he's tough to play.

Anyway, that's weird about good matches in friendlies. I posted a day or two ago that I switched to treating ranked like friendlies these days just to get more fun out of the game. I very often go random on ranked now and am getting beat a hell of a lot more but am enjoying the better competition (it feels great beating a mid-tier player with someone I never use, like Makoto or Vega). But I'm sure it will get old soon enough and I'll be looking for a way to reset my card on Volt without running into the problem I had last time with BN not recognizing me for a month or two.

I feel like I have the basics down, but I probably need to play him more consistently if I ever want to really get good. When I play random or just bounce around between a lot of my secondaries like I've done lately, I lose the Gief touch. It's amazing how much skill and mindgames it actually takes to get in on a lot of opponents.

So I see that SimplyZeBest changed his name to Sagat KILLER. I'm not convinced that it's the same person as the Sagat KILLER that rage quit on me the other day (even worse, he rage quit the 2nd match after winning the 1st, and then posted the replay of the 1st). I did just confirm that they have different cards. There is a SagatKILLER on TAAC with a lot of matches and the SagatKILLER that rage quit against me is . . . surprise, surprise . . . on the clan, and he's only got about 200 ranked matches. I'm not sure why SimplyZeBest changed his name, but I can't imagine he wants to share his name with a rage quitter, assuming they're not one and the same.

Honestly, I don't ever, ever rage quit, but I couldn't imagine the guilt I'd feel if I rage quit on someone in a rematch after winning the 1st match.

lol, well thats why you don't quit and they do. Quiters don't feel guilt, unless they send you a rage message haha.

I hadn't got a rage message in a while, but I got one from a Japanese Ryu: "haha US server noob, barely beat me, stomp noob"

    Something like that...

which is funny, because they were very intense matches, you know, the ones where I have to chase Ryu down across the screen because he is using air tatsu backwards and SRK when I jump in.... yep, my head stomp spam got the best of him. We went 11 matches, I won 7, he won 4... he won the first 4 straight, I was determained to get my BP back, started at 3.1k ended up at 3.03k.... so not too bad.

I sent request back saying, " I won't stomp if you don't haduken" hmm.. never accepted that. wonder why hahaha

I have been playing Gief so much that my bison is suffering greatly :(

Remember how I used to quit sometimes before you gave me that enlightening talk about quitting? Yeah, well, at first, I felt extreme rage (usually). But then afterwards, I would feel guilt.

On a side note, I have yet to find the "champion of the universe." :(

Yeah, but you would never get so guilty that you would message the guy and apologize would you?

I remember one time, before I ever played Bison, I RQ against some guy on a really good match.. I was just super salty, and I decided to message him and apologize for leaving. He added me and sent me a game invite saying no problem lets go again.. and I did.

For one of the same reasons communism will never work....... RQ will always be present lol @ analogy

    BTW, Felix --

We haven't played in a while, either. Maybe we should have some good matches later on? I'll shoot you an invite when I get home in about 2 hours or so.

On a side note, my connection should be completely outrageous now :D

I wrote basically an essay to the Time Warner CEO, Just got a call from "executive assistant" and they had some great news:

-My monthly bill is now $20 less(they were trying to raise $40 more for same service)
-3 movie channels for free for next 3 months
-I was on the 20mb data, now they are increasing me to 50mb data!!!!
I am the only one who uses my internet, so it should be insane. I am looking forward to going home haha.

    I lol'ed hard! :D

Ken's Ultra is less useful imo because he has to put his body in the way of harm to use it. Ryu's is a projectile that in no way puts him at any risk unless the opponent is too close and isn't being whupped on when you use it.

Actually some of the most fun matches I've ever played were against rshkhsee doing Guile mirrors. We were really evenly matched and they were some of the most exciting matches! I wish I still had the replays. :(

Doesn't EX SPD have an even faster startup than regular SPD?

    Pics or it didn't happen >_> [/forumnerd]

I'm working on him too. Hopefully he'll come back.
