I'm not trying to defend Apple but, Apple has warned this for a few months now. On a side note. I wonder if Capcom isn't all that large as a def/publisher that I thought they are. It seems like they are over stretched with very little in the way of making their IP really good in iOS with timely support, updates, and very few releases/retractions of many of their classic games. Or maybe the Apps store is still a Wild West when it comes to decent games.
XCOM? It would be a shame if that doesn't get updated (as well as enemy within) or re-released. I'm all for the APPocalypse wiping out a significant number of F2P garbage, glorified slot machine games off the App Store, but I will genuinely weep for quality games like XCOM if it were swept away by the flood.
I feel that Capcom and others like Square-Enix haven't adjusted well to mobile games. Whereas Supercell has done really well and even other big companies like Blizzard have done.... well better than Capcom
I think that capcom updates the game not for users request(there were a thread about Volt updates) but for Apple 32 bit support on AppStore! It's their best game! An capcom is interested only in #!
Funny you mention XCOM. In the Google Play store it got an update a few weeks (months?) ago, but on iOS it seems abandoned. Here on iOS it hasn't had an update for ages, even though in both cases it seems 2K is the dev.
I don't know what 2K is doing. They are like hit and miss. They make an excellent NBA2K 17(MFI support, superb presentation and solid game mechanics) Not able to update one the greatest console ports -Bioshock (through months of disappointing promises to bring it back on the App Store..) XCOM maybe in jeopardy? Maybe it's the AppStore, and the pricing model for major devs/publishers not able to make enough margins (unless they go "free") and not incentivized to support/follow up on their games. maybe the Apps store could do a better job of market differentiation between indie, console/pc class and F2P glorified slot machine games, so causal "gamers" with unrealistic expectations can understand why some games are $10-20+ and some are good at exploiting OCD while being "free".
Anyone who remembers bioshock on iOS shouldn't trust 2k Capcom at least fixed MHFU so they get a pass with me
Anyone who remembers bioshock on iOS shouldn't trust 2k Capcom at least fixed MHFU so they get a pass with me Bioshock was my favorite to play
I am honestly not worried at all about Final Fantasy Tactics. Everything "Final Fantasy" sells like hot cakes, theres just no way Square Enix is gonna let the app die, we might wait a while for an update but im 100% confident we will get it. XCOM on the other hand.... lets say I have much less faith in 2K.... #
The problem with 2K is propably that "2K China" made BioShock, Sid Meiers Pirates!, Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution 2 and some other games for iOS. 2K China was shut down In November 2015. That's propably why we won't see any updates to these games.
will anyone here play with an MFI controller when Street Fighter launches? I'm just wondering how prevalent mobile gamers that use controllers are on mobile. It makes me wonder if MFI controllers had become more standard earlier on in iOS's lifespan ,would it have made a big difference in the type and frequency of games on mobile.

Fwiw, I'll be playing with a Logitech Powershell mfi controller. I got one a few weeks ago for $10, which I guess is the standard price now that nobody wants it. The only modern phone that fits in it is the iPhone SE, so I guess I was lucky in that sense.
