That's precisely the point. Yes, I'm looking forward to the influx of new players and the growth of what will hopefully be a new minitiature e-sport community. We've quite a tall order to fill if we want the Champion discussion to surpass the old Volt thread, but no one is up to that task like the FGC

I bet we see this a lot sooner then we think. I remeber when volt came out it was announced and then popped up pretty quickly.
While I *really* do hope Champion Edition is released for Android as well, sadly, the number of total users is less important than the part of the market segment that is willing to pay for software (assuming Champion Edition is a premium app). Historically - and still to this day, the last time I read a report on the topic - Android users have a tendency to spend substantially less on both utility and entertainment apps. But what better to change that pattern than a Street Fighter title? Yeah, who else nourishes the naive hope that it will drop tonight?
We were given some notice with Volt. We had no notice at all when MvC2 came out bar a tweet the day it did. I can't remember about SFxT. My money is 1st July/30th June as that's when Volt was released
