Wait and see the AppStore can be very odd and random place at times, sometimes games come early sometimes they don't

Can you stream the app on twitch? Or not allowed?

Gotta give us something to go by this week.
    Atleast more screenshots.

    Are there any new modes?
Does it have a friendly match option right next to online ranked matches?

Have you tested the app with ios 11?

Is this street fighter the one that has skillz integration?

I'd say identical to Volt's. I always got along pretty well with the touch controls, would flub something every now and then but not enough to ruin my enjoyment. Like the older games the buttons can be moved around, resized, and opacity adjusted. And when you use MFi they just disappear automatically.

Ohhhh good call on streaming, I'll see if I can get an answer about that.

No new modes, in fact it's actually missing some modes. No bluetooth multiplayer and no more sparring mode, so you can't just play a one-off match anymore. For solo play there's only Arcade, Survival, Training, or a Challenge mode that's almost identical to Volt's. Which isn't a HUGE loss, but still kind of strange they wouldn't include those modes.

Yes there is friendly matches right next to ranked matches, and the friendly matches allow you to create a 6 digit room code so it should be super easy to set up unranked matches against friends.

Don't have iOS 11 installed so haven't tried it, sorry.

No, I see no mention of the Skillz service anywhere, unless it's the company that's running all the backend stuff for the online portions and maybe the prize stuff will be integrated into the online tournaments? Not sure but my gut says the Skillz game will be a different game.

    @Jared

How many costume colours are there per character?
I assume we still only have 1 ultra per character?
Is there any form of replay sharing?

In practice it's the same of Volt with more characters! No new modes and graphic is the same!

Two costumes per character, but I'd be more than willing to buy more if they ever add some as DLC.

1 Ultra per character yes, except Sakura who has a variation of her Hadoken ultra that shoots into the air, same as in Volt. For the most part everyone's moves and specials are all identical to Volt, as best as I can tell.

Yes, can save your own replays or download others from a list of either the newest or the most popular. You can also search for replays by character, by date, by keyword, or by player name.

Correct. That's pretty much what they advertised it as. Look at it as a 5 dollar update to Volt that modernizes it and protects it from the 32-bit Appocalypse.

Here are a couple comparisons so you can see that, although slight, the character models are improved and the UI and character portraits are all much sharper. Also the game looks a lot better in motion than it does in stills.

    Removed local Bluetooth multiplayer support
Removed 'vs'. mode skirmish with the CPU
Stronger online multiplayer integration in campaign.

Seems more like the general push many devs/publishers do for online multiplayer
Barebones single player gameplay, or cut it out all together (sometimes add it much later like SFV)
removal of bots, skirmish modes or require online connections for those modes.

not complaining specifically about SF4 CE, but the trend for a lot of these traditional games is concerning and seems to be on all platforms.
    PC,Console and mobile.

I dread the day when we have '1984' (wasn't that also the year of the video games crash?) kind of gaming where it's all online only, episodic (or bite chunks like SF5/Killer Instinct), stripped single player/local features, IN combination with the F2P/Freemium mechanics and pay model.

Modern gaming is incredible and has gone leaps and bounds what many of us couldn't imagine from the old NES/Genesis days, but at the same time has taken many, many steps back.

**not to be a downer as I am excited that SF4CE is coming soon with the improvements (not excited about some of the removed/missing features), just a reminder of the ups/downs of games and where it looks to be heading.

Sigh, normally this would be a believable and understandable situation. But it's Capcom, so there's likely some other reason they won't admit. IF there's anything I've learned of Capcom, it is their glacial response to issues that come up. I'm not sure how the submission process is at Apple, but I find it weird that no one would notice an issue until the very last minute, I would have thought a company like Apple would have a better system in place to prevent this kind of thing.

SFV was a massive letdown, this is hopefully the saving grace of SF for me. I'm hoping for a miracle and we'll see the game magically appear this weekend.

Oh well... At least I pulled SSJ4 Goku in Dokkan Battle, so I got that going for me, which is nice.

@jared same question here. Guile, Chun-Li, Bison, Balrog, Vega. Do you need to charge (down back for 2 seconds) or can you tap ultra without charging?

For a (likely small) subset of players, no BT multiplayer is a drastic change. It was instrumental among my friends in arranging local matches and tournaments, ensuring negligible latency and allowing us to play under strange but desirable conditions. We had one of our best Volt throw-hoedowns on a four hour boat ride out on the open sea, mixing hadoukens with medieval faire attires for euphoric nerd-ness ;)

    I have my idea...

I bet this "glitch" in AppStore process it's a fake. With ios 11 beta gone to public, AppStore still the same from more then a month. Monday we will get beta 3 maybe AppStore will start to work showing New apps and games in homepage and in the new relative sections. So, SFIV it's a big release for AppStore and I bet Capcom (or Apple ask Capcom) to wait until next week to have major visibility in the world. Only my idea, shared with you. :D

I agree, in my years of iPhone gaming I have never seen that excuse... If they found out there was a "glitch" Apple would have done something to fix it for a company like Capcom. My guess, 11pm next Wednesday. App approvals take around 1-2 days currently so we should see the release Monday if this glitch was legit.
