I just picked up apple tv and so far it seems well worth the 99 bucks .

I am wondering if apple tv , or some other app , will let me use my computer as a server that I can log onto with my iPad to access files that I can then stream to my iPad , from my serving computer ?

    Thank for any tips

Airview is the only one I know it works quite well though. I'm actually suprised apple didn't let the devices do this by default.

I use it to stream from the itunes library to my touch only works with video though.

edit: reading again I think I misunderstood the question I'm thinking you probably mean something more along the lines of airflick don't know much about that though.

    Air Video

Load the app then go to their webpage and download the server for your PC

There's a free version too, but I've no idea what the drawbacks to it are?
