I just picked up apple tv and so far it seems well worth the 99 bucks . I am wondering if apple tv , or some other app , will let me use my computer as a server that I can log onto with my iPad to access files that I can then stream to my iPad , from my serving computer ? Thank for any tips
Airview is the only one I know it works quite well though. I'm actually suprised apple didn't let the devices do this by default. I use it to stream from the itunes library to my touch only works with video though. edit: reading again I think I misunderstood the question I'm thinking you probably mean something more along the lines of airflick don't know much about that though.
Air Video http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/air-video-watch-your-videos/id306550020?mt=8 Load the app then go to their webpage and download the server for your PC (Mac or Windows - but not Ubuntu -as far as I can tell) http://www.inmethod.com/air-video/index.html There's a free version too, but I've no idea what the drawbacks to it are?
