Tap to move is the worst. Otherwise curious to see how much depth this has. Crazy playing something like this without any freemium mechanics. tekchic Well-Known Member Jun 5, 2009 452 29 28 Female Software Developer Phoenix, AZ http://www.tekchic.com #3 tekchic, Sep 19, 2019 I gave up after five minutes of trying to move, but I'm planning to try it with a DS4 controller this weekend and see how it goes. I was REALLY excited for this release, too. Hoping they can figure out a virtual thumbstick or something, otherwise it's a "play at home on the couch" game instead of on the go since I don't carry around my Playstation controller with me Barak Well-Known Member Mar 13, 2010 230 4 18 Portland, OR #4 Barak, Sep 19, 2019 The movement is incredibly wonky on touch screens. I gave up and deleted it. That'd be sweet! Meanwhile I'm gonna enjoy this one with a controller for now I suppose I could even pack my old SteelSeries Stratus (the tiny one) in my bag to play at work over lunch. ste86uk likes this. Exploration, crafting, farming, survival. Moves slowly at first, but it’s starting to pick up. tekchic likes this. Cool game, but won't play it much unless they do indeed give us a virtual joystick. ste86uk Well-Known Member May 9, 2012 6,774 1,000 113 #9 ste86uk, Sep 20, 2019 As you all said it seems good so far and I’ll definitely check it out more but the controls aren’t the best. The movement isn’t the end of the world but I sure would like more options like a thumb stick as some of you said. I’d also like an action button rather than pressing the tiny arrow each time. But it does seem like if they do that there’s something here but I guess only time will tell if I get further in and see how much depth it has. Even without changed controls I’ll play it more they still work, they just aren’t as smooth as they could be. I do wish the story held your hand a little less, but it’s an enjoyable story none the less. I have gotten used to the controls, but a virtual thumbstick would be better. ste86uk Well-Known Member May 9, 2012 6,774 1,000 113 #12 ste86uk, Oct 4, 2019 Yay and update with a virtual stick and buttons, maybe now I can give the game a look again. Wabe Member Jul 5, 2014 13 1 3 #13 Wabe, Oct 5, 2019 I’ve been enjoying this on my iPad with a MFi controller but this new update has really screwed it up. My saved game has been deleted and the resolution is now forced to an ugly looking sub-native res with no option to change it. Seems a shame when it was running fine before. The first time I ran the game after the update there was the lovely nautical background, but no menu for a while. Then the menu finally appeared, but with only an option for a new game. Now when I run the game it’s back so that’s good. Still in low res though. I’ll happily send you an e-mail. Not sure what more I can add though. Apple Arcade game saves are tied to your Game Center login (offline and online) so if you aren't logged in (or there's a problem with Game Center) then you're going to have a different save game than when you are. The upside of this is that if you've got family sharing enabled, everyone can have their own separate game saves on Apple Arcade as long as they login with their own Game Center ID. It's updated to the most recent version on both devices. On the iPad, after about every 8 steps I take there's a hiccup like the game is trying to catch up or refresh. stubbieoz Well-Known Member Jun 23, 2015 1,880 358 83 Male Grey haired gamer NSW Australia #19 stubbieoz, Nov 23, 2019 Last edited: Nov 24, 2019 Anyone else having a problem with the telescope and the “zoom in” feature of the telescope remaining even after unequipping it? Glowzinski New Member Nov 24, 2019 1 0 1 Male #20 Glowzinski, Nov 24, 2019 I have been playing this for a while. I have had two problems. One, my game save deleted and I had to start all over. I was told it meant I was not in the cloud. I have the game downloaded on Apple TV. I would have thought it saved on there. Got back on and it was fine. Now, I am trying to find the guy with the fishing rod. I have found him, found the rod, went fishing and all this other stuff. Yet, every time I plug my Apple TV back in and go to play the game, my character and the boat are sitting on the beach, and it says i have to find the man. It will not save after that point. I don't know what else I can do. haha (You must log in or sign up to post here.) Show Ignored Content Share This Page Tweet Your name or email address: Do you already have an account?
