Thanks so much for taking to time to give feedback! While there currently isn't a copy save function, you may simply quit to menu if you feel things have gotten.. Ah.. un-salvageable and reload your game slot. (FREE of charge units such as Techs, Rangers and Blue Berets found at homebase were designed specifically to mitigate this issue) I've been ~-12000c in debt before and climbed myself back into the black which was quite fun in itself. I hate 'unfair' punishment/penalties in games and so you can imagine when I put the rulessets together here it was really oriented around freedom of choice and 'your way of play'. With regards to saving, the game is saved/loaded at these points: 1) Upon reaching home base 2) Upon flying off and heading to any mission site. 3) manual save any time in home base when there isnt an active invasion going on. As others noted, the Status slider at the saveslot selection screen can be moved around any time as you see fit. It isn't ramped up.. all levels have some level of procedural spawns unless you mean you went to a REDSITE, in which that Banner is, imo, fair warning of what you are about to experience. Around 1/4 of the game does not involve red sites, like that jungle escort mission as well as HEAT, so they are designed to be as 'grindable'. Spoiler alert: Spoiler This 'fine' accounts ONLY for the gear you 'stole' from UN2 by getting its forces killed. The logic operates on a 'you broke it you bought it' principle Sell those flamers. Or hold on to them as they are technically more expensive once you find the actual shop that sells them. (You have to use (R) points to unlock them which are harder to come by) As such, I believe I made it as carebear as possible already, and its practically an exploit all things considered.
Thank you all for taking the time to respond to my despair! I clearly hadn't noticed the changeable difficulty setting at the start of the game. I thought it was a display of some sort of progress, and didn't bother to touch it. I will now try re-setting the difficulty. Regarding the difficulty 'ramping up' when you restart. What I have been doing when my cash was decimated, was closing the app completely, then restarting. It then reloads from the last save point, but the mission screen appear to change, in the fact that missions that had previously been orange had now turned red. I take that to mean that the difficulty has increased and there was no way to access that level again at the same level of difficulty. By the way, I have been using the body bags successfully. That's one thing I am very good at. I think I'll have another go at this from the start. If only there was a way of skipping the tutorial... Thanks again to you all. There may be a really good game to be had here after all.
No biggie, thanks for fast response. Another Quick One: Using R Hos do you do that? Can only find vendors which tale credits (at 3. mission)
Not exactly sure what you mean but I'll take a guess it's about buying and selling items? You can only buy from vending machines and traders. You can sell via your heli locker when you are at your home base, just tap on the item in the locker and tap again to sell.
You earn R from doing missions. As well as credits. How do you use R? -a tooltip relminds you about using them to unlock weapons. But the shops only tales credit So where in the game/menues do you use R to unlock more stuff in the shops/vendors?
There are some shops later on that requires you to use R to unlock the recruit/item for purchase, then afterwards you can purchase as many as you like. Some endgame items need 60 to over 100 R to unlock.
An earlier example of R usage is at the cryovats at base, where some troop Divisions and Classes require R points to unlock before a purchase can be made. Happy drops!
Struggling with Drone Trials. Any tips for this level please? I just get annihilated no matter what I try. Thanks, CJ
Candyjet, Try the 20mm Monster Killer rifle that you first encounter on Neurocity thats the easiest way to end the fight with the drone weapon platforms! Shields will help against the 2nd and 3rd drone. Happy drops!
Thanks, DS. Which is the 20mm rifle? Does it have another name? I am v. familiar with the Neurocity level now, it is a very good grinder level. Land just in the right place, take out the shooter, bag him up and sell him. Pretty much instant cash. Have also managed to go from minus 34,000 credits to plus 10,000 over the course of some hours playing (not all on Neurocity, I hasten to add).
PS. Finally cracked it by loading up one with anti tank mines. Laid a huge mine field very carefully, then basically taunted the drones from the other side of it.
Wow. Much effort.. Would have been amazin to see a screenshot so i can share it on the steam forums hahaha The 20mm rifle is the one that the Unipol sniper is holding south of the hostage building id you diamond LX you should be treated to a display of its firepower provided you dont shoot first before the sniper does (which is pretty much instant)
