I've stopped looking for other third person shooters as soon as rockstar released Gta series on ios. I honestly see no point in releasing other non-multiplayer third person shooters on ios if we have dedicated Rockstar lol Rip73 Well-Known Member Nov 18, 2011 4,399 0 0 #3 Rip73, May 27, 2015 Multiplayer is in development for it, about 70% done and coming in an update. As it stands its arena based anyway so it is a series of multiplayer like matches so nothing remotely like GTA at all. AI seems good enough so far and it seems to offer as much cash as you want through opt in video ads or earning in match. It offers a reasonable degree of entertainment so far. Could do with some bug fixing at this stage but earning seems very balanced and environments are pretty decent, it is Unity after all, from what I've tried and the AI is holding up quite well until a multiplayer update is ready. Grimstone82 Well-Known Member Jan 3, 2011 594 0 0 Northbrook, IL #5 Grimstone82, May 27, 2015 It has potential but it's kind of lame as is. It feels completely unfinished. First off, the lack of any type of single player campaign is a huge disappointment and almost feels like they only know how to make half a game. Like they can figure out how to make the combat work, but don't know how to turn that into an actual game. I get that the point of it is "arena combat" but the lack of a campaign feels like a cop out. The controls aren't the most responsive, and when on rooftops you can only aim down to a certain limit, making it almost impossible to pick people off from above. The graphics are ok, but I don't think advertising that it uses Metal is doing any good, because it certainly doesn't look any better than other non-Metal games. And frame drops and freezes on an iPhone 6 don't help make this game a very good example of the benefits of Metal. Also, the camera needs work, there are times when my character is up against a wall, but the camera is behind it. No bueno. I dunno, when I found this thread I got super excited because I love 3rd person shooters, but I was let down pretty harshly the moment I fired it up. It needs a LOT of work, and I honestly don't think it's anywhere close to being ready for release. curtisrshideler Well-Known Member Patreon Bronze Jul 30, 2011 3,097 25 48 Male Video Producer/Editor Texas http://twitter.com/curtneedsaride #6 curtisrshideler, May 27, 2015 Yup. If games aren't supporting iOS 7.0 still, I can't support them because that's what my device runs. But hope the best for this in the future! Not bothered about any single player campaign element personally as it's not really what I'm looking for at the moment in this type of game, so the "arena" play suits me. It's the unresponsiveness of the controls that needs work and the camera perspective when your near walls. My character gets stuck in spot at re spawn quit a bit as well. The basics are definitely there and I think the environments are pretty good. Metal doesn't quite have the result people seem to think it does graphically, it's not quite just a method of making a game look better but it does offer that option of more effects, it more so should make a game run better (generally but not all the time). I think with a bit of work it could live up to its potential but it definitely needs some more bug fixes before it gets multiplayer as an option. If the responsiveness of the controls, the stuck at re spawn point and the wall covering your view when your character is close to it were fixed, it'd be a reasonably good option. It's not in Shadowgun or Modern Combat territory but I could see a level of enjoyment if the bugs were fixed. And everything seems easy enough to earn through opt in videos and just playing so hopefully they'll sort it out. At the moment I'd say Captain Strike offers a more complete option but it's pretty iap heavy by comparison to this model. I believe an update with a big overhaul to environments and UI is incoming for that soon enough though. If the dev of this one throws in some of those bug fixes and an extra layer of polish, I think it should reach its potential. I do like the underlying elements, just too unfinished right now. (And if the dev happens to be reading, don't be discouraged, it has definite potential and the criticisms are not meant in a harsh way just some feedback for areas of improvement, throw in some more work and ye will be on to a good thing. I would definitely like to see it fulfill the potential it has in the underlying structure. And best of luck with it) henryfakesmile Well-Known Member Sep 12, 2013 354 0 16 usa #8 henryfakesmile, May 30, 2015 funny, guess you can stop looking for new generations of apps from now on, eh? absinha New Member Jun 26, 2015 2 0 0 #9 absinha, Jun 26, 2015 We are listening !
