    Warning: dumb question

What does the shuffling of the 3 cards when you enter a dungeon do?
It seems no matter what card shuffles /is dealt, i will get any random card from my collection when i enter a level.

Not a dumb question - it depends on the card. When you get a new card (say a bomb), the bomb becomes unlocked and it has a chance of appearing as you play. But if the bomb appears in your shuffle, you'll get a much higher chance of that bomb appearing.

Most cards increase the odds of something happening (higher chance for chests to drop, more gold dropped by enemies etc.), but actually getting a card that is an item (like a bomb, a weapon or an object that appears in the world) unlocks that item permanently.

Another example would be explosive barrels. Until you get the card, you won't see any explosive barrels in the dungeon. Once you have the card you'll start to see them, and if the card appears in your shuffle, you'll see a LOT of them. BOOM!

You can also see the image from the cards in-game. If you're seeing a miss-match from the shuffle and what is displayed in game, that could be a weird bug. Try force closing the game, and relaunching it. We can look into the issue further if that is what you are seeing.

Man if this game had say other classes that would be nuts! Maybe that would nullify all those cards if you only had certain classes that could use them though... Even gear drops would be cool like armor or whatever. Maybe I am thinking too much like Diablo style...

As I previously stated, periodically, when you finish a dungeon, there will be a sale where each of the Ultra cards are half off. You can get all of the cards for $4 rather than $8 that way.

I think this is right on. If your whole impression of what iOS gamers think comes from reading TA forums, you might think most iOS gamers prefer premium games. However just about every study I've read about which was based on actual statistics as opposed to personal opinions, shows just what you say, that far more iOS gamers prefer F2P. I'm one of those who would prefer to pay up front, even if it means games were priced more like handheld console games, i.e. in the $10-$40 range. However I'm also aware that with a very few exceptions, that's not a successful business model on iOS. So I totally support your move to F2P, especially since you seem to have done it in a way that doesn't ruin the game.

Here is the rough structure of the IAP sales at this time. Subject to change, and there are some conditions in which a sale might be offered, but it should give a pretty good idea of the breakdown.

Warp Stone Starter (20 stones) - player lvl 6
Ultra Card - Roosterzooka 1/2 price - player lvl 8, doesn't already own card
Majestic Pack - player lvl 12, all users
Ultra Card - Disco Bomb 1/2 price - player lvl 14, all users, doesn't already own card
Warp Stone Starter (20 stones) - player lvl 15, all users
Ultra Card - Ember 1/2 price - player lvl 20, all users, doesn't already own card
Ultra Card - Death Walker 1/2 price - player lvl 26, all users, doesn't already own card
Majestic Pack - player lvl 28, all users

The Ultra cards are only offered once. The idea of the level structure around the IAP sales is to reward players as they put more time into the game.

I got the impression that those ultra cards were purchase-only. Is that wrong?

Thanks! Our belief around IAP is that it should be something players WANT to buy because its awesome, not something they are forced to buy because they want to keep playing.

Correct. Ultra cards don't appear in card packs and can only be purchased - either from a sale pop up, or from the Ultra Card link on the Summon Packs screen.

Thanks dev. I was one of the first to complain about the transaction to FTP but honestly, if thise bucks helped you maintain this awesome game than so be it. Bought around 5 dollars extra in this version to reward you guys (and myself hehe) and to help the further development in content and bug fixes

No those are regular cards, we're talking about the ultras. They are insane! Go to cards and than ultras. There's 5 I believe and they do insane things for 400% drop rate. One makes all enemies disco, another turns them into chickens, another gives you a crazy buff and turns you into a skeleton. They help a good amount.

I couldn't get them on sale since I'm already maxed but I got a few full price.

Those are the only cards locked, there donation cards basically. Legendaries are crazy and can be earned in game.

Ultras are really fun though. Def worth it if your enjoying the game. I plan to buy them all S well as fourth card slot.

    Cannot wait for new content.

I already gave a suggestion on multiplayer which would be a huge hit. Kinda like DH5 where you build your own dungeon and set enemies and other players raid you and take your gold. Gold can be used to buy enemy card packs to get different types of monsters to place and defend your dungeons.

Wow, thanks Terrence! Much appreciated, and yeah, I hope everyone that tries the game can see that we did our best to do f2p "right", so we all win. Our goal, as MikeGetSet pointed out, was to create content that players actually WANT, rather than putting up gates and walls.

I have a question for the Devs. If you missed an Ultra sale card pop-up the first time around, will it pop up again?

Not me. I hate free to play. It's ruining gaming. I absolutely will not play any game with a timer. If there is a one time purchase to make the game premium I'm ok with that. But no way will I ever support timer energy systems. I won't buy consumable items that cannot be restored. I'd rather not play. I will make sure I leave a terrible 1 star review and move on.

Those are one-time sales currently, but that doesn't mean we won't run them from time to time in future.

That's why we didn't introduce an energy mechanic or anything that limits play in Storm Casters Ultra. The Portal Time feature in Storm Casters was in the paid version and is an integral part of the game - you upgrade it with currency you collect in the game so there is no IAP related to it (we don't make money from that feature).

There are no features in this version that change the gameplay other than making it better. There are optional purchases that aren't pay to win, and there are some opt-in ads, which you can choose not to watch. It's totally up to you.

Yea I'm up to the 4th zone now. I really do like the game. Since there is cloud saving I most likely will purchase an epic card pack just to show my support. I don't like using something for free. I know how hard it is to code and how much sweat goes into the entire process.

Can I be honest with you? I had never heard of this game before. If I had I would have bought it. It's sad and Bs that good games can't get out there. There has to be a better way.
