Fancied something to play on my break at work while I'm waiting for Tiny Realms and now my Plunder Pirates doesn't need much looking after so purchased the game and will try later.
I have three of the heart slots and think you can maintain an "old school" feel if you started with all the hearts filled. It's just very frustrating and being that I love the game feel like it would add to the experience vs taking away. I repeat...I love the game.
I have to agree, starting with one heart is just a pain. It would also be nice if there was an option to use a dual stick shooter setup, this game cries out for dual stick controls.
Thanks for pointing that out. I didn't see the settings option originally because it's only available on the games home screen.
Played for a few hours. I'm on chapter 2 and I've evolved! I love how your character changes when you evolve. Since there's no cosmetics so it's neat to see your character change as you evolve. I'm really enjoying the game so far. Glad to hear there's 8 hours content. This game deserves success. Can't wait for upcoming content. Is there any specific new content planned for the future? & if you don't mind answering. How are you guys doing with sales / profit? Enough for future updates?

We'll continue to optimize performance in our updates to try and keep things running as smoothly as possible. Yes. If you're connected to the internet your progress will be saved on iCloud and you can even transfer it to a new device. Glad you like the game! We're climbing the charts right now and people seem to like the game but it's too early to say what the revenue might be. As long as people like the game enough to justify the development cost of updates then we've got plenty of new ideas planned!
Worried about the timer and the bugs but I'll be adding this to my wish list for now as I still have a few games left to beat. This is exactly my style though. Can't wait to play it.
I tend to agree on the hearts... Seems unnecessarily frustrating. Maybe when you evolve you get to start with an additional full heart, and get a new empty heart as well? Game on the whole is awesome though. I love that I get a different "build" every time I play.
I got stutters every 1-2 secs especially on later levels (I am now on level 30) when I destroyed or picked up some objects. The stutter did not stop even when I was alone without any objects on the screen. Please fix this soon, I can't play later levels when you start with 1 heart and have like less than 0.5s to dodge enemy projectiles (especially projectiles from top of the screen)
I really really like this game. Very addictive and good polished game concept. Yesterday after the bug was fixed I just wanted to try it out and then I played it till Level 23..
Just bought this, got a bit of an old skool 'Gauntlet' vibe to it. Shame about the timer in the dungeons, dont always have time to have a decent explore/look round. But very playable, shall give this much more of a go later. Controls work well but on my iphone 4s i get a few freezes now and then
Started the game yesterday and loved it. Finished the first zone and came back today, hungry for more. All progress gone. Pick your hero. Damm. Looked through this thread. Reinstalling didn't fix anything. Ok then. Finished first zone again. Closed the app, opened the app: pick your hero ... Looks like a nice game, but man how do I hate these bugs, especially when it comes to game progress ... Edith played through three zones meanwhile and noticed that the game remembers cards and upgrades, but the progress like cleared zones and xp is lost everytime the app is closed. This isn't supposed to be, is it?!? While speaking of xp: the xp bar is always complete green, but well, I guess I could live with that ... Edit 2: Someone hinted to me that this problem may be part of a pirated version of this app. Well, at least not in my case. I bought the app in the appstore, as I do with all my apps. Just wanted to make this point clear.
Bump, I am getting bad stuttering also whenever any kind of explosion takes place - I'm on an iPad 2 with no other aps running in the background. Really fun game but this issue is getting too painful for me to proceed.
Ha ha how could you 'accidentally' choose the wrong one ?!? I presume you'll have to de-install and re-install it
