So these two are "features"? Holding stomp and jumping afterwards was the reason I already deleted the game. It was so confusing! I kept telling myself like "why the hell am I jumping? That's what right thumb is for." Those controls needs to be simplified for sure. Unfortunately I don't think it's gonna be that easy. I can't figure out a single simple solution unless it's redefined completely. If it worked like in Pumped BMX series that would be pleasure. Left thumb exclusively for tricks, right thumb for jumping and other stuff. At least for starters, can jumping be simplified? I mean, why swipe down to crouch and release to jump? Why not just hold and release? Also the red border when missing the perfect stomp makes it so discouraging. I'm almost afraid to stomp just not see the red border. It's like the game's mocking me for being lame. Let's see some thumb up icon appearing over players head for a second after successful stomp. Those thick borders are a lot for my taste. Anyway. I understand you can't please everyone. So I guess you'll probably fix some issues majority of players is concerned about. Still, I appreciate your effort to reach out for feedback and willingness to improve the game. Thanks for that!
Thanks @macplash, I'll be trying to tune some things, and hopefully have an update soon! Hopefully I can win you back :'(
@Vekta oh, no worries.. when I see the developer that actually cares, it completely changes things.. so you already have a 2nd chance guaranteed just for showing up here and don’t forget that I actually like the game as I mentioned in my previous posts.. I was just expecting something extraordinary which I’m sure has a potential to be, eventually.. fingers crossed
Thanks for that info macplash. I bet those fatalities from mortal kombat are easier to pull off. I am good with alto's adventure and odd.
@Stag well yeah. Those fatalities in early games were pain in the ass to do. Combination of 4 up to 7 keys, just ridiculous. This game's not that bad though. If you make those tricks right, the sense of satisfaction is there and you'll enjoy it each time. But it can't be compared to Alto games. They're so much more casual and chilling. Adventure is still installed on my device. Playing with Tupa is just so relaxing. Odyssey on the other hand didn't suck me in as much. Those wall climbs are annoying and overall environment just doesn't feel as great. All that sand and balloons, monkeys and whatnot. Adventure is still my No.1 choice. Stomped is more like Rad Boarding or Ski Safari maybe. Definitely not Alto. I still stand by what I wrote earlier though. That it's worth its asking price. It's a good game, has some flaws. But with a little effort they're gonna be ironed out eventually. So, yeah.
Stomped! 1.0.3 has dropped in Today! In celebration of this I'll drop some codes to the first 5 people to DM me! Controls updated! Stomping Tweaked! Tutorials Improved! Sensitivity Customizable! Thanks for all the great feedback @macplash @Stag and everyone! #keepstomping
Alright, alright. Sounds promising. But hold your horses, young man! We're only about to see if there's a reason for celebration. Nah, just kidding. I'm positive it'll be fine. But I'm gonna check those tweaks for sure the moment I find some free time. I'm curious about the differences and most importantly if it's finally that jaw-dropping masterpiece I was hoping for in the first place.
So I’m definitely enjoying it. On the “Vibe” board I’m struggling to make a really long jump with any sustained speed and usually can’t make it at all. Any tips to jump further?
Loving the game! Reminds me of Tony Hawk Pro Skater back in the day. Controls are responsive, just like THPS, takes a little time getting used to, but when you do, you’ll be pulling off tricks like crazy! Took me about 5 minutes to get used to the controls, but man just loving it! Highly recommended if you like THPS, or Alto, but way different than Alto, IMHO, I prefer this over Alto.
I wish the camera was zoomed out further. seeing further would make the game more enjoyable instead of only having .002 seconds to react to a rock.
@resting27 You get slight speed boosts from Perfect Grinds, Perfect Press Tricks and Stomps. Trying stringing together some of these before 'that' jump! @ShinHadoukin Thanks very much appreciated @Rangerlump I believe in you!
