First off, I'm only looking for intelligent (non-emotional) considerations of Qualcomm vs. ARM Holdings. I'm considering selling off a considerable amount of stock in Apple after mind blowing growth. Two companies that have come to mind and research, for the future of mobile processors, are Qualcomm and ARM Holdings. Qualcomm has been supported (and will continue to be for at least the next year) by Android and Windows Mobile device manufactures, while ARM is supported by iPhone and iPad. While I realize the manufactures only represent a small amount of each companies growth, there is obviously a lot of potential growth in their respective demand. I'm really curious in hearing peoples ideas about each company, and how you would feel about each if put in the same situation. ARM has specialized in designing low power consumption processors with significant investment by Apple (whom I totally respect), while Qualcomm is delivering a very powerful Snapdragon processor being adopted by Windows Mobile and Android handsets. So please, if you have an intelligent consideration of either company, I would enjoy hearing you point of view.

Hmmm....I say in terms of profitability I would just buy some Qualcomm stocks because most of the smart phones except a couple namely our favorite device will use Qualcomm chips so since Supply and Demand I say choose qualcomm. But personally ARM gets my vote since apple likes them. Yup I have been drinking cool aid and I don't care
