We ran tests on this game a few months ago and my programmer who has exceptional gaming skills eventually scored in the high 400s therefore we decide that at $0.25 a point a good player could win the $100 1st prize. But I must say it took him a few days. He tried hard during our breakfast, lunch and dinner break to get the rhythm and once he got it he scored high. I still cannot break 60. I hope to keep these competitions fun and fair for the TA members playing but also need your help. Years ago I had a site with a number of competitive games and over a year I gave away over $40,000 in iPods, iPhones, cash, pizza days prizes, etc. We make accessories for Apple products and made a lot of money so et was a way to give a little back to our customers and a lot of fun for me. I did not know TouchArcade had this forum for prize until a few days ago and was quite excited when I discovered it. I plan to have a number of contests which I hope will be fun for the members.

Re: 1000 score. Ok, just to clarify. If you know the other similar app/game like this also the one made by "Ketchapp", i've also got the high score on that game. Not on ios but on android. Google Play. 1stSPIN is right. It'll took for about a days or hours to get a +500 score (as what he said...). For me, 4 and a half hour, I took +300. I try and practice when i'm vacant. Yeah, just a day I took 1000 score. If you guys still confuse on my score, 1stSPIN, you can reset mine just for them.
Hallo all, well I can also confirm that a 500+ score is possible, but it will need some time. My current score is 677 points, which I scored during a 16+ hours flight a while ago. When you have the time to get into this game you can actually get a quite decent score. I remeber that I have spent overall more then 5 hours to get my first 500+ score and during the next 3-4 hours I got the current one. Also there is trick, which I used: Lay the iPhone on the side, this helps a lot to estimate the required lenght of the blocks, much easier then in the vertical position
If you are getting your scores offline you need to go online to have the score posted before Monday midnight NY time. At this point there only seems to be 4 people playing so it is easy to keep track of, don't know what the numbers will be by Monday. On the numbers point. Our company spends about $1,000 to $2,000 running test ads on Google to get some data. That gives about 500 to 1,000 downloads from around the world which gives us some data. If the contest method could can prove itself to my partners I would like nothing better than to use that money for contests, I love it when the players benefit. Like to get some feedback as to what you want to see in a contest to make it interesting to participate.

My programmer is one who can get a high score if he puts his mind to it. But most important the player has a quick way to verify his her high score. There are only 5 days left for this competition.
