Dunno what to say... Tim Cook seems like the right man for the job. Hopefully Steve overcomes his condition. I doubt much will change from here on out, seeing as Cook has been partially running it for a while now, and the fact that Jobs is still a large part of the company. I hope Steve gets well!

This was quite surprising news, if not unexpected. It is sad to see someone forced to give up activities they love due to ill health and hope that his health problems improve with this break away from Apple.

As others have said, Tim Cook has been in control for a while now, so Apple itself wont drastically change or anything.

With Jobs taking a more backseat role, could this mean that Apple will invest more into gaming?

I have faith in Steve's choice of Mr. Cook as CEO and faith in Apple's ability to continue its culture of excellence no matter what happens to Steve.

They have been preparing for this moment for quite a while.

Best wishes to you Mr. Jobs and thank you!

Jobs isn't dead. I'm sure people said the same thing about Walt Disney, Lion Kings and Little Mermaids later they merged with ABC and even own Marvel.

Success isn't tied to anyone person, it's tied to a vision and execution of the vision.

Apple is not going anywhere, with or without Steve.
