RIP Steve Jobs. I only became a Mac user this year (and an iPhone user not long before) but I've always been impressed by your innovations. The other half of Sinecure was born and raised on Apple products and has always sung their praises. What a shame this is.
RIP Steve. There's no doubt that he changed the world and will be remembered and admired for years to come.
RIP Steve. He gives me chance to come with real game development, with Touch Arcade, with the rest of my life.
I'll agree it's sad news especially for Apple his friends and his family saying that though I'm just after reading this. As much as I didn't really like the guy he did real wonders for Apple and made some really great decisions he doesn't deserve that and neither do his family. Hopefully Apple hires some security to keep them well away.
Unfortunately his disease had no way out. I'm not sad - a suffering man has just stopped suffering. I'll always admire him for what he achieved, and I'm confident that Cook, Ive and the other guys will carry on the good work.
We've lost one of the worlds greatest thinking minds. Steve, thank you for all that you've done to move technology forward. You are proof that we can achieve what ever we wish as long as we put forth an effort and never give up. You will forever be remembered and sincerely missed. Rob.
On one side, I'd like to say "thanks, Steve Jobs", connecting me to the world and letting me meet people like Scarypharaoh, Pitta, Squeaker. I'm really thankful for improving my life. On the other side, I hestitate to mourn. People "mourning" the death of Steve Jobs shouldn't forget that he was famous for not being charitable and that, one of the first things he did when he resumed control of Apple in 1997, was eliminate all corporate philanthropy programs. He was also a key figure in the war on sex and wanted to see the internet sex free, playing some kind of father figure, protecting his sheeps. He was a billionaire who made his fortune from slightly tweaking other people's inventions and putting his name on the patent.
I think Apple should release an iPhone 4S limited edition, which comes with a pinch of Steve Jobs' ashes. Would be a good way to spread his ashes (if he was getting cremated, don't know). Capitalism, even in death
Thank you. While I think this is all bad news, and it's sad when anyone dies (Except Amy Winehouse... jk) but as much as his intelligence shined on the technological innovations he had part of, he was still a man. And with that, came many sins he carried forward. By the way, what are the people protesting his funeral for?
That's what I wanted to say. People somehow see him as a saint. But you can't just declare someone a saint who wasn't. He was a friend, inventor; inspiring, iconic somehow and genius, but he also was a real businessman, a hardliner. He loved the dollar, not the people. He could have done so many good things with all the money that is now useless to him and still could have more then he could have spent. Too bad we lost him, his desease was really sh!t. But he lost the fight in the same way as many, many other unknown people.
