I'm just completely at a loss for words... You were a visionary, a leader, and a friend. Rest in Piece Steve. You will forever be remembered.
It's sad and unfortunate but he's known for years that the time he's had left would be short. He's been the guiding hand behind Apple for all it's successful years and he made sure the right people are now running the successful company he left behind. For the lack of a better analogy Charlie is running the chocolate factory now. R.I.P. Steve Jobs, you'll always be remembered as a creator and a visionary. Apple products I've owned created during Jobs' tenure: Apple ][GS (first computer!) iMac first gen Powerbook G3 iBook first gen Powerbook G4 Mac Mini first gen Macbook 2005 model iMac 2007 model iPod first gen iPod third gen iPod fifth gen iPod Nano iPod Nano second gen iPod Nano fourth gen iPhone first gen iPhone 3GS iPad first gen
I am deeply sadden by this news on many levels and unfortunately words fail to express the extent of this. So I will just say that the world has just lost a brilliant man, who's visions and passion were unparalleled. Thank you for everything Steve, thank you so much! May we do our best to make sure his memory along with his visions are eternal and live on forever.
This may have been said already but I think Steve may have recieved news of his life expectancy thus the step down from CEO, i think upon hearing the news of his current health and life expetantcy made him decide the last month on earth would be spent with his family which would always come first even before his world changing accomplishments i clised my eyes & said please no as i read the text message and immediatly opened my mobile browser. My day started off well and ended up bad and this just seal the deal on an official bad day -FUBAR
I hope Apple acknowledges this by releasing all of his keynotes on the app store. I always loved his presentations and hate that they stop at 2007 on Apple's podcast.
I heard this on the new this morning and had to rewind the video over and over, not believing what I was hearing. He was the centrepiece of what Apple is all about. RIP.
He had pancreatic cancer for at least 7 years; what's not to believe? Regardless, it's a sad loss for sure. I can't imagine anyone taking his place.
Didn't everyone know this was coming I think it's been pretty obvious since he took a break he hadn't long left, I think it's sad his last day was watching Apple begin to ruin his work.
One final goodbye to Steve from me. I was actually a lot sadder than I thought I'd be from someone I didn't actually know in person, especially the former head of a multi-billion dollar corporation. I spent five hours in total today reading, looking up, and watching things related to him. It was awesome seeing how many people paid their tributes around the US and the world. If there was an Apple Store near campus, I would have definitely taken the time to leave something as well in front of the store. Even though there's many people who dislike Apple's products, I can't name anyone who doesn't respect what he's done and how much he's helped the entire technology sector progress. I hope everyone who appreciates his products or what he's brought into our world takes the time to send an email to [email protected]. Rest in peace.
Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They invent. They imagine. They heal. They explore. They create. They inspire. They push the human race forward. Maybe they have to be crazy. How else can you stare at an empty canvas and see a work of art? Or sit in silence and hear a song that’s never been written? Or gaze at a red planet and see a laboratory on wheels? We make tools for these kinds of people. While some see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do. That's your point of view and must'nt match with Steve's point of view. You are the one who's acting bitter and disappointed. Rest is assumption.
As Steve enters his iCloud, he will forever provide us with our media.. in the cloud. He will live on.... RIP SIR STEVE
