He helped create a brand that became so integrated in our culture and our lives that it, and he, became iconic. So few brands have such a definitive and concise identity that people allow it to permiate in their lives. I was blessed to work for Oakley and they had that similar identity, but not to the magnitude that Apple has.
Steve, you brought me products that I can say changed my life for the better, and for that I say thank you.

    Rest in Peace

Edit: I just realized I found out he passed away on a device that he created. That gives me chills.

after reading his point of view on death.. some how that makes thing seem normal to me.. dunno, im not a apple fanboy, but man i sure can agree on his thinking about death.

for example if h. ford did not die we all would be driving model Ts *the irony is im building a hotrod bucket T*.. he did not want to change his simple car. edsel fixed that..

    trippy shit.

This is very sad... I honestly don't know what to say. :(

Let's get passed that and wonder where Apple is headed now... everyone figured Steve would be there looking over Tim Cook's shoulder... Apple could go anywhere in the next couple decades.

The Onion is fake news. They like to poke fun at Apple all the time.

I regret that Steve made me a millionaire and I never even wrote him an email.

i think obama wrote it very fitting

    http://www.whitehouse.gov/blog/2011/10/05/president-obama-passing-steve-jobs-he-changed-way-each-us-sees-world

readed it in a newsletter mail on the iphone.. then switched on the big mac to check if that was no hoax.. it was not..

we have a saying that would roughly translate to "let the soil be light for him", so

Goodbye Steve , rest in peace.

He brought Apples technology to the point where it's so blended into lifestyles. Just a thought in particular of listening to music/games instantly over a wifi connection on my device and able to play it anytime thereafter. It still hasn't gotten old for me.
Or is it appreciation I'm feeling?

Anyway, thanks for everything Steve Jobs.

I think if Steve was alive and saw your comment he probably wouldn't want to regret it. Regret is the worst thing to do. Just keep him in your thoughts.

    Sidenote:

when he died I thought to myself... I wonder if he ever knew what toucharcade was. Maybe he never made an account but he watched the forums to see the genius ideas of tomorrow. And to the developers... Do you think at one point Mr. Jobs ever had your game on one of his iDevices?

Literally the day after they revealed the iPhone 4S, he's dead :(

The event had little fanfare, in a small theatre on the campus...

The event seemed almost a somber foreshadow for today.

Steve has given so much and really changed the way we interact with the computer.

He was like the PT Barnum, with regard to spectacle and the Shigeru Miyamoto of creative genius.

It's very sad that he's departed the living.

He leaves behind a wonderful legacy, which I have good faith Apple will maintain.

This is some really bad news to wake up to!

Steve Jobs brought more to this world than Apple, not many people realise that the concept of GUI for an OS and the mouse technology are things Steve Jobs came up with.
