    It's been about two years since I paid any real attention to iOS gaming: I bought a Vita and the seemingly unstoppable trend of free to play games put paid to that.

    But this Xmas one of my brother-in-laws gave me £15 of iOS credit.

    Can anyone suggest some games (that you buy once and that's more or less it) for someone with a couple of days to kill with the in-laws (they have no TV or music in the house!?!)?

    My mind is so numb I'll give anything a go apart from trading card games.

    Thanks in advance.

    I see I've posted this in the wrong forum. Could a mid move it to discussion?

    Thanks in advance.

    These are some of my favourites which I recommend to new IOS owners. These are premium.

    * don't starve - rougelike, currently on sale
    * Sproggiwood - top down Dungeon crawler, also on sale.
    * Legond of Grimrock - old style 3D Dungeon crawled
    * FTL - rougelike set in space
    * junk jack x - a bit like 2D Minecraft
    * craft the world - a bit like 2D Minecraft with tower defence element
    * Plague Inc - destroy the world using stealth and strategy

    Plants vs zombies 2 is freemium but still fun and I haven't spent anything.

    Also I don't like trading card games on the whole but I love Hearthstone

    I hope that helps

    Xcom enemy within will burn some good time. Deep quality iOS gaming, depending on your device/ iOS version.

    Leapy Up is a new iOS app endless leaper game. It's fun and addicting, but it's also a free download and less than 7MB in size. You can try Leapy Up if you like.
