Agree on what you said about CM and Josh As for the game, i'm not that far in but i've not been forced to trade at all. Shortly after the intro missions you get to pick a class which will give you a bonus in certain areas. One of them is trader but there are 4 or 5 others that have nothing to do with trading
As game buying mistakes go, losing $5 isn't so bad. I like the idea of this one and will continue to support Crescent Moon because they release cool games!
That's good to know there is no connection between this and Exiles. This game is back on my buy list.
Ah! Another mission accidentally failed. If there is a set order you have to do things, it should be communicated. Example - do a thing in this sector, but mine for stuff in another sector as a side quest. If you leave to do the side stuff first, boom mission failed. Is there a rule of thumb for this? Like, do the main mission thing first, wait until the main mission says go dock, (but don't go dock because the mission will end!) and instead of docking, go to the other sector where the mining mission is directing me, THEN dock once I have the stuff I'm supposed to mine?
I really love this game and I think ppl should be willing to throw down 5 bucks to try it for themselves
I will still end up buying this game. But i just want to know what i am getting, instead of hitting the buy button on day 1. Can't blame me for feeling this way!
I'm curious to hear answers to this. That would be frustrating not being able to free roam even though you've taken on missions. Makes it sound very linear instead of free roam.
Josh, can you pass along the bugs -- particularly the control freezes -- that I mentioned earlier to the dev team?
Except for when you fail a mission by jumping to another place. What is the answer? What is the methodology for missions? Does docking anywhere automatically end whatever mission you're on? Any rationale behind this decision? If we were truly free we could leave an active mission waiting indefinitely and freely go to other sectors and dock anywhere and leave again with the mission still out there waiting for us. This is standard for every open world game I've ever played. Note: Besides being ambushed by failed missions I really like this game and I want to understand it better
Game started very nice. But after half an hour into the game a bug appeared and the game is unplayable. Even when i follow the main mission, all stargates only work when i fly directly with my ship into it. Also the docking is not anymore working. The button to use stargates and for docking has disappeared. How can anyone play it this way? ipad air ios 8
All missions start at a specific location (you can tell it from the description or from the map) you can do whatever you want until you get there and the mission starts. After the mission started you must complete it without docking (unless required by the mission). Side missions will fail if you dock (except mining and transport missions). For mining you can bring the resources in multiple steps.
Try to select the gate/base (with a tap on the icon) and check that you are in range (700 clicks for gates and most bases, a few bases have bigger range).
Thx for the response. To mark the target or to mark the docking station and stargate did it. Somehow i missed it in the tutorial. After playing a bit now this games keeps frustrating me. How to progress in a main mission when you get attacked all time by much stronger enemies that kill you within seconds? Do i need to grind any worlds? There is so much not explained and this would not be a problem if you give the player a chance to play. The weapon and ship equip menu confuses me so much, so that i don't like to use it. With self explaining item graphics and visual stats this would be much better. Its a good game in a too complicated costume.
Cannot beat the 3rd mission from Anderson, after the escort mission very early. Make it to 3 Rd beacon and the enemies kill me before I can even think. Would like to do side missions and get stronger first. Can I do this? Is the mission I am on still tutorial ? Am I just a very bad pilot and should be able to beat this mission? Would love to advance. Update: So, it turns out I just needed to be better. Completed that mission.
@c0mas: what's up with the "it should work on iOS 6.0 and above" that you mentioned in the upcoming games thread? You seem to be the dev, or at least in contact with them. Could you clarify that? It was published as iOS8+ required.
