Hm ... that is a nasty one ... the missions are saved in the savegame ... but the CHIPS are global (so if you do the CHIPS missions and then load a different save, you'll still have the CHIPS earned, also if you do the missions and then load an older save you'll not have the CHIPS missions again to avoid exploiting and making the CHIPS missions several times a day). But ... the bug is there since it seems that if you load a save from the day before that has missions saved without CHIPS ... you will not be able to gain chips that day. That's a really good find (I'm sure it's first time reported)
Well, at least I know now what I shouldn't do, lol. In any case, my objective is 100 chips for the extra slot, so that means one more day of playing... No problem at all with that
I see well ... I how you will not be disappointed because of that extra slot ... since it will just add an extra equipment
I won't be disappointed for sure. I need the extra slot in my Dolphin ship to equip it with a 5-passenger cabin to do the taxi missions. I can equip and unequip the medical and taxi cabins, but it's tedious. I prefer to have everything equipped
Ehi, I have never been able to activate the extra slot, how do you do it? I have 200 chips, but nothing happens if I tap the xtra slot in hangar, neither I find it in purchases, is it a bug? The strange is that if I mount anything on this slot, I lower cargo by 1ton, but what I put there is not usable, just dead...
I see... uhm... I tapped there but nothing happened. I could try reinstall the game but I fear to lose all the game progress saved. I will have to wait for next game update.. thx for the screenshot!
Hi again, c0mas. Here we go for another bug report and a possible bug. 1. Bug report: if the border patrols are attacking pirates and you decide to attack the border patrols so that they become your enemies, the game freezes. (Yes, I needed to get killed to reload last save so I thought the best way would be to get as many enemies as possible on screen, lol). 2. Possible bug: while defending a spaceship on a mission, each enemy spawn got me like 6-8 enemies on screen, and I was still coping with the previous enemy spawn. It was impossible (literally) to defend anyone with so many enemies spawning. Is this behavior normal in the game? Check the screenshot and the amount of enemies in it. I had already killed 3-4 enemies, and there were like 6 left. Sorry to be posting so many bugs, but I feel like a beta tester. I'm generally enjoying the game a lot, that's why I'm posting all the bugs to see if you can fix them. I say "generally" because the "possible bug" described in point 2 is very annoying to say the least. I spent 7500 credits to revive and got killed in less than a second, literally. It was better to let myself be killed and reload "last save" rather than spend the credits. After 20 times reloading last save, I got a lucky game where only 1-2 ships were spawned every time, so the ship I had to defend could get to the jump gate. Then, the same story repeated: a ton of enemies spawned, I got insta-killed, reloaded last save (luckily it saves after each gate jump) and try again to get a lucky game where only 1-2 enemies were spawned at a time (again, 20 tries later). I was finally able to finish the mission and obtain the 3 chips (yes, it was the daily mission...).
Hm ... on what ship do you encounter this problem? (I hope there is not a max equipment slot cap reached on a particular ship). Reinstalling does not have any effect ... it is similar to a new game saved on a different save slot ... if the game starts then no reinstall should be needed
It should be easy to reproduce this ... and I have no idea why this happens but I'll check it out for sure. Hm ... the defend and protect missions were lowered in difficulty in the last update ... but it might not be enough or most likely the formula that increases the mission difficulty to match your level is boosting the difficulty too much. Also because it was the main CHIP mission the difficulty is boosted a bit more on top of the boost caused by the level ... most likely the difficulty got way too high (and perhaps the highest difficulty should not be that high ). Some while ago (a year or more) there was a player really happy with the defend missions and asked me not to change those (I still lowered the difficulty ) ... he said that is was his best way to make credits ... he said he never won the mission, but he just had to stay alive and get away with the loot To be fair I'm really happy when you (and others) report issues ... especially those relatively rare like some of the ones you reported (some are reported for the first time) ... quite a lot can happen in an "open world" game ... and I'm really sure I did not covered a lot of cases while testing And each issue solved is also one issue less for the next game in line as well
Yeap, fully agree: open world games can be a real pain to debug, since there are a lot of different cases and situations. I'm happy to be of help here, since your game is one-of-a-kind in current phone gaming. I know there are other alternatives, but Stellar Wanderer for Android is the only one that covers most of my gaming needs regarding space games (offline, 3D, free roaming, daily missions, random missions, enjoyable space dogfighting, etc.).
Today I got this message when entering the game, which happens just after I updated Google Play services from the store. I think the problem might be you're using an obsolete plugin for the Google Play Services, since the login screen I got in your game was the old one, and not the new one that shows all the requests of all the permissions needed. Btw, I also had the game crash today when selecting a pirate to shoot it down after I had finished a mission. I don't know why, but it freezed completely...
Well ... we try to build on top of it ... and hopefully the next game will have significantly more things to do in the universe
We are already analyzing what it means to upgrade the Google Play Services plugin ... hopefully it will be an light update Those freezes are the trickiest to track down, since a big chunk of them are not reported ... and we can only guess what was the cause of it (but the count has dropped over time ... )
In Stellar Wanderer I prefer cockpit view with the cabin on. I like the effects of the lights as if it was a real spaceship. Nonetheless, this is with my current ship (the Dolphin), but with the initial spaceship I felt the cabin took off a lot of visual from space because of its design. In that one I preferred 3rd person view because of this. Btw, check your PM, there's a bug that has to do with chips reported there.
Mmm... that's a great question. Let me think about it. I'll get back as soon as I can play and see what I need there
