System mapping So I added some more systems to my map. Tech level and wormholes are color coded. Spheres are systems where I found monoliths. I also track if I bought a station, this does not show up I. The plot yet.
Really cool! Concerning stations, their availability may change as time goes by. Is it possible to display a line from each system to its projection on the plane? Release 1.0.93 submitted!
Do you mean a line to the zero plane, as in your side galaxy view? I'm not sure. I am also trying to figure out if I can connect systems in the order visited. Right now I'm just concentrating on the mapping.
Yes, that's what i mean. By the way, i think system levels can theoritically reach a max value of 30! Perhaps you will find some of them during your exploration (you seem to be in a good region of the galaxy).
Yeah, I'm going to stick around here a while. Judging from station prices at level 27-28 I expect level 30 stations will be really expensive...
Looks good HI, I'm happy to see the work on this game - it looks great, but the instructions are totally thin! I can't figure out how to refuel, or land on a planet. Please update or someone tell me.
Here is a post I did a while back for a much earlier version http://forums.toucharcade.com/showpost.php?p=3897878&postcount=716 To refuel you must dock at the space station orbiting around the planet and press on the refuel button on the right hand side of the docking screen. To land on a planet you must enter a space station to get clearance, takeoff from the station, then you will be able to land on the planet by flying through "gate 0". Gate 0 is located on your radar as a large square if you don't see the gate right after takeoff. The thread is huge and many of the help guides that have been posted get lost but I guess it's a good problem to have. The game is really daunting at first especially with all the additions that keep making the game more unique but if you love space exploration it's worth sticking around through the learning process.
Bought this game at launch, but refunded due to it not working properly. Bought it again last night, easily a 5* application. It's wonderful, fun, and easy to get into. I've been playing elite dangerous alot, and this game is just as fun for me, though I'm awful at this game, not sure how to use the Starmap properly, and when steering or rolling the ship it spazzes waaaaaay out on the iPad pro, other than that I LOVE this game, planets are beautiful. Any chance of MFi controller support?
I'm still getting the missile bug I buy 30 missiles. when I exit out of the came, close it completely and then reload I have only one missile.
Glad you enjoy the game! MFI support is not planned for the moment. I will probably buy one, so maybe i'll want to support it!
Virtualboyfreak reported that too. For the moment i don't know the cause (can't manage to reproduce it). I will try to investigate again.
Update is live I love the day/night cycle. The sun moves across the sky during the day. It looks like you update the current time when you move or rotate while on the planet.
I second this. Stellar Horizon is a very underrated game. No reviews, no media presence, but it's a great space exploration game. I guess its scores would be between 6 and 10 depending on the love of the person who reviewed the game for Elite Space Trader style games, on how they felt with the touch controls and on their love/hate for framed planet exploration as in the old 80s 3D games I had on my Amstrad CPC6128 (well, much faster loading and beautiful scenarios, but you get my point I guess.) For me it's a "must buy" game. There's nothing like this in the App Store (aside from Stellar Horizon, obviously ). If you're waiting for Morphite 3D, that one also looks great, but it's more similar to Metroid than to Elite, so I'm pretty sure they'll coexist perfectly.
i think SH will still be the best choice for space exploration games, even after the arrival of Morphite... sorry guys, i much prefer indie single devs like Marsault that give us surprising gems like this, to most popular ones that plays to hype their games a year before their release... by my own experience (start playing vg in late 70s ), never fill the expectations.
Morphite is less about space exploration and more about planet exploration. It has space battles and such, but the main focus is on planet surfaces. Stellar Horizon on the other hand is all about space exploration, with beautiful planet exploration, but no action, battles, etc. on the planet's surface. That's why they can coexist perfectly
