Hey Radar, you can transfer savegames using the iTunes file sharing. It's not optimal if you play back and forth between devices, but it's better than nothing.
Hi Radar, as explained by Virtualboy, the only solution for the moment is to use itunes file sharing to copy/paste the save files in the Stellar Horizon directory. Sorry for the inconvenience, i'm aware it is not very handy to switch between 2 devices. Anyway, i hope you will like Stellar Horizon!
To be honest I didn't bother more with the missiles. I'll try to buy more and see if they get saved with the savegame. I'll keep you informed.
Update is live, and the "build your base" feature looks great. It sure adds depth to the game. For those interested in building bases, it's in the system menu when on a planet. I still have to get used to the interface and find resources, but it seems very interesting. One thing which worries me is that you have to visit the base regularly to get the benefits. That means that you need to learn the coordinates of the planet where you set your base. Unless you build it on a legendary system, it will be difficult to keep a record of where the base is. Is it possible to add a log with the coordinates of the systems where you build bases? Also, how many bases can you build? Anyway, this base update is great. Now to find resources to build one EDIT: The missile bug is still there. The process is: - Buy 30 missiles (I bought the second best). - Exit space station and land on planet. - Take off so that game saves. - Exit game and kill app from background. When you enter the game and have a chance to fire missiles, you only have 1/30 missiles instead of 30/30.
I play on an iPhone SE and really like it. On the iPad it also looks great, but my iPad 3 can't cope with it
In fact, each time you build a new base is recorded in your logbook, as well as the coordinates. And the number of bases you can build is unlimited! (roughly, each new base creates a 0.1 MB file). Concerning the missile issue, it may be specific to the big bang explorer as i didn't reproduce the bug with another ship. I will investigate!
Cool! In any case, I've just discovered the 9th legendary system, and it happens to be next to another legendary system I'm currently going to. I'll probably build the bases there.
So I played a few minutes at lunch today with the new update. I have not tried base building yet. Have you decreased the step size when traveling on land? The dot spacing on the radar looks smaller. Also the SN strength would vary by about 4 when traveling directly towards or away from the monoliths. It is now less I think. Anyway, the targeting brackets look much nicer animated. I also landed on a sandy planet. Thanks so much for the SN value color change in the display!!!
Hi Drh, you are perfectly right, the step size has been reduced (technical explanation: i changed the focal, and steps seem too wide with the new focal, i.e far objects appear too "suddenly"). I hope it doesn't bother you! If players here find S1 speed is too low, i may increase it, but S0 speed shouldn't be changed in my opinion.
I think speed is ok. When looking for monoliths, if they are directly in front of me, on S0 I advance 1.0 and on S1 I advance 4.0, which is exactly the same as before. EDIT: After reading drh1961 I'll check if it remains the same. I think it does, but I'll check.
Nope, speed change doesn't bother me, I was just curious because I noticed a difference. Anyway I'm back to looking for high tech level systems to purchase some serious money making stations. Lately I have only been finding tech level 15 to 18 max. I'm also on my way to the 11th legendary system. It's about 6000 LY away.
Hi VBF and Marsaults. I figure I'll try to reproduce this. So I bought 30 Rayleigh XP 0 missiles. The ones VBF bought were not available. I could not reproduce the bug. I followed the steps outlined by VBF as exact as I could. I have the Big Bang explorer also, cargo hold is about 3/4 full. I have a couple of questions for VBF. Do you hit the land/skip button when landing and taking off from the planet or do you let the sequences play out? Did you goof around on the planet for a while or just land and take off again? I just landed and then took off again. Did you buy/sell anything in addition to the missiles? Does this happen every time you buy missiles or only at certain times? How full is your cargo hold?
