Hi Marsaults! I think that in the next update you should remove that squared thing on every ship in marketplace menu. And if you can add a 3D view of owned ship in the my-ship menu would be great. In next updates a change in ships design would be very appreciated! Thanks for your attention.

That squared thing was the indication of where the cabin is, but I think that neither the person who requested it was happy nor the final result was good. I agree that it was better without it, or implementing the polygon as the cabin itself in each ship.

I don't know about the focale (I don't quite understand it tbh). If that allows moving the camera left/right, that's what I was suggesting. Anyway, thanks for thinking about it.

Really like the ease of collecting resources for the scientific missions, thumbs way up  .

Just want to throw out a couple more suggestions, some realistic and others more of a "wouldn't that be cool" type of thing.

    - If the player has left orientation activated the title screen starts right side up.
    - NAV SCREEN: the export / import columns separated a bit more so text does not overlap or allow the player to touch on the planet to get the desired information.
    - in game notepad feature to write down useful buy / sell market info or to keep track of various other anomalies the player may want to jot down.
    - outposts on certain planets that may contain abandoned market goods or money, a active trading post, or something not so good.
    - more localized news (news about the current planet and surrounding planets) except for the major events that are known throughout the Galaxy.
    - job suggestions: escorting , clearing out asteroids, delivering goods to a merchant ship.

Thank you for fixing the export / import planetary NAV text in the new update! :D It's much easier to read the prices on goods now. Very happy with these frequent updates to the game. Much appreciated!

I love the new scientist and entrepeneur objectives. This game and all the updates received since launch are amazing. It gets better and better after each update, and with an incredibly low install size! :)

Completely agree with this. I like the new science and station earnings milestones.

This is a great addition to the game, and definitely rounds things out a bit.

I wish I had more time to play this game...

Jeezy creezy another update in the span of a couple of days. Your really going above and beyond most App Store developers. Are you sure your not a Trese brother in disguise? Haven't tried the update yet but the auto pilot improvements sound like a great addition along with the other bug fixes.

.....also looking forward to getting my clock cleaned by elite enemies. :D

We'll see if it can be implemented or not, because I think it's not as easy as it sounds.

Bugfix update is great! Lasers look amazing now, and finding elite enemies is fantastic. What doesn't seem to work for me is that "default vegetation clip distance set to higher". When I click on "detect" it stays on "low". I've set it to "higher" manually, but I'm not sure if my 4S will be able to handle it smoothly enough or not.

LOL, that's not a bug, it's a crack on the glass of your cockpit! Dock in the nearest space station and they'll fix it for you ;) if your shield had gone down more and more, the crack would get larger and larger. Afterwards, the HUD will begin to flash, and in the end... Boom! :D

Btw, in this game, to upload the image in the correct rotation, you have to go to your pictures and rotate it there, and upload it afterwards. This is due to the way the game handles screen rotation.

Oh I didn't realize that :D . Usually I fend off hostiles without a scratch or my ship gets one-shotted and I have to eject immediately, it's pretty cool that there's degrees of visible damage. Thanks for the tip on image rotating will certainly keep that in mind the next time I upload.

The new Geographer missions are great for the extra cash especially at the beginning. Started anew after the update and just got finished finding 9 waypoints on the orbit stations planet and along with those waypoints the planet had a monolith site and a couple of resources for extraction. Needless to say I was on the planet for awhile :) .Great work Mars!

I have not seen any tutorial videos of the game unfortunately but if you can tell me what part of the game you need help with then I don't mind trying to help out.

    Some basics of Stellar Horizon:

When you start the game you want to take a look at the guide on the main menu. The guide can also be accessed from within the SYST menu in the upper left corner of the screen when the game has started.

    Goals
    - Stellar Horizon, much like Elite, is a very non-linear experience. Is your goal to accumulate a fortune from trading, mining, or combat? Your goal may also be seeing how many planets you can discover or how many ranks you can climb in a certain area (combat, trading, mining, science...). It's all up to you.

    Navigation
    - Think of space travel as "jumping" from planet to planet. There are two parts to space travel depending on the distance of the planet you want to reach. If the planet is light years away (L.Y.) you will want to enable your hyperdrive by pressing the up arrow in the upper right corner until it's highlighted on the H. If the planet is closer and the distance in measured in kilometers (KM) then you want to use your superdrive by highlighting the S with the arrows in the upper right corner.

At the beginning of a new game your ship should be aimed at the first planet that is KM away. You will want to use S speed to reach that planet. Once there you should see the orbit station right in front of you. Press AUTODOCK in the center of the screen when you are close enough to the station to dock and buy / sell some goods.

    Docking
    - Once docked you can access the SYST menu to buy / sell goods from the orbit station at the market. If you have enough money you can also buy new ships, weapons, or sometimes even the space station but most of those things will be much later into the game.
    - One of the most important options in the SYST menu is the NAV button at the bottom of the screen. The NAV display will show the current planet your located at and the planets surrounding the current planet that are of reasonable distance.
    - After you exit the SYST screen you can press launch to exit back out into space.

    Navigation (part 2)
    - If you want to land on the planet then fly through Gate 0 after you launch from the orbit station. Although I would hold off doing that until your comfortable with space navigation.

If you haven't already, access the NAV display by heading into the SYST menu and decide on which planet you want to travel to next.

-The next step is you want to press on the radar at the bottom center of the screen to adjust the zoom level. The zoom level by default is set to X10000. You will want to set the zoom level to X1. This will show you tiny yellow dots on the radar. These dots are the planets surrounding your current planet.

    - All the dots at the top of your radar are planets your ship is currently facing (your ship is the blue dot in the center of the radar). If a dot has a line underneath it you will have to move your ship upwards until the line disappears and only the dot remains. If a dot has a line above it you will need to do the exact opposite and move the ship downwards until the line disappears and only the dot remains. A planet (or any object) directly in front of you will be a dot that is dead center at the top or near the top of your radar with no lines above or below. You will want to try and find the planet you decided on earlier in the NAV menu (zoom level should be set to X1).

    - Once you found the planet you want to travel to then use your hyperdrive to head towards that planet since it will be light years away from your current position. My advice at the beginning is try to head towards planets that are 10 light years or less in distance since your ship will run out of fuel and you will be more susceptible to pirate attacks. Later on you will have ships that can easily travel much greater distances without worrying about fuel consumption.

    More helpful tips

I'm re posting some tips for the people new to the game. Basically what I have quoted above is for people that are pretty far along.

To start you might want to do missions and stuff like that. I started upgrading the weapons as soon as I could and then I bought new ships here and there. Once you get above a certain ship size, your money making capabilities start to really increase. You can buy cargo at really good prices and then hold on to it until you find a good deal for selling. I have the largest ship and it is usually half full or more. Pay attention to the color codes on the prices for sure.

Later , space stations are a good money maker, my method for that is up in the quotes. I'm now making 1.2 million a day just from space stations.

    Enjoy!

Thanks JasonLL for your useful post. I couldn't have done better (maybe i need to improve my english)!
    Release 1.0.45 still in progress...

@drh: how much total cash have you now?? I'm afraid that the value may cause an overflow, or at least cause a display bug! #
