And you can input coordinates! Of course, I went and did the "radical test": a (0,0,0) coordinate, which is the middle of the galaxy, and a (99999,99999,99999) coordinate which is... I don't know where because it exceeds the map and is around 172k LY away! drh1961, if you really want to test the universe outskirts, you should go there
Here go the coordinates of a planet really worth visiting. It's quite flat, the sunset sky is beautiful, but the best part is that it's very covered in water. Like big oceans of water. When you walk, you don't know if you'll step in or out of the water because of it's "limit-depth". Worth going to this system if you've got a chance.
I'll keep those coordinates in mind, sure... No. Knowing marsaults I'll get out there and some really cool new gameplay element will be added and I will have to come back again. I'm still about 4100 LY away from the closest legendary system. I was 10100 LY out, so progress I guess... Now if there was a second save slot where we could copy the existing save over, we could maintain two active saves. One "normal" gameplay save, and one explorer save, I would do it for sure!
Jeezus, not being hyperbolic this is my no mans sky. It just keeps getting better beyond expectations. Appreciate every bit of tweaking from Dev and thoughts from others am putting sleep on the back burner right now. Cheers!
Problem with this game is interface. Very unpolished with uncentered buttons and misplaced text. If that was improved this game could become quite a success. A real gem.
I think the issues with the interface are device-dependant. I have a 4S and some interface objects aren't where they should, because I think interface is optimized for other phones (5S maybe?). I wouldn't say "very unpolished" though: everything works as it should. i.e.: If I press "buy", it buys; if I press "bribe", it bribes, etc. Nonetheless, I have to say that the game is perfectly playable and the interface issues you mention are light IMO, not interfering gameplay-wise in any way. I think it's a real gem as it is, and there's nothing similar in the App Store regarding amount of discoverable planets and universe size (and if there is let me know to check it out!).
Kudos to the developer for the relentless supoort for this game. This game is one of the most buck-worthy game i have ever bought on the app store with all the hard work put into it. Everyday, the game is evolving, as it is molded into an even more beautiful gem. A real rare gem indeed. LOVE THIS GAME AND THE DEV. Keep making great games, you are great in doing so!
agree with you! hey, try also The Pirate-Caribbean Hunt, it's an outstanding and complex 3D open world trader set in the age of sails, updated with new content (not only bugfixes) almost every week, it has iaps but you don't need them to sail and enlarge your own fleet. i.e. the upcoming 4.6 update (set for this week) will add starry night sky, a better rainy day, larger cities and ports and many more improvements. check its facebook page.
Thanks for the heads up. Installed it this afternoon and will try it tomorrow. Too much backlog to play and a few new planets to discover
I come back from a trip and there is three new updates. Thank you again for the continuous effort. I am sharing this game with all my friends, because it deserves a lot more popularity! Don't mean to be pushy, but what are you working on now?
you will not believe your eyes VBF, incredible graphics, all the caribbean area to sail in real time (the upcoming update will bring southern Brasil area, you must unlock pieces of maps with in-game currency), tons of ships of different hierarchies, some of thems are famous ones like the 1st class SantÃsima Trinidad (sadly, this beauty beast and others are available only trough iaps), and many more things... i'm playing for more than a month and still can't believe that it takes less than 130mb... it's really a MASTERPIECE!!! btw, it works perfect on your 4S (i'm also on 4S) sorry if this is not the appropriate thread, but i had to reply to VBF, anyway Stellar Horizon is also a masterpiece in the sci-fi area.
Thanks Gwarmaxx, I remember we're on the same old 4S boat I'm pretty sure I'll enjoy it. Back on topic: Marsaults, what cool features are you working on?
Hi Guys, i'm currently on holidays, i must admit i don't code a lot these days! I'm currently trying to improve the diversity of planet topography (i think planets are too similar). In term of gameplay, which feature should be implemented in priority, according to you?
Would it be possible to actually fly on planets instead of just seeing a landscape picture that you can move to a next image?
