Seeing this picture I realize I really need to upgrade my 4S to an SE to be able to play with max detail Looking forward to updating the game as soon as it becomes available.
Merchant ships Merchant ships are the yellow dots/squares based on what I see from the cockpit view. I don't think this is described in the radar section of the guide.
This game seems to be very promising. There is a lot of hidden potential that may not be clear in its rough state. I think that the UI needs some attention, especially the buttons in the system computer and at stations. The retro style of the game actually works quite well but those buttons are just uncentered text, they need a bit more polish. That would make this game look more professional. Please don't give up on it as this project can really go far! Also, can we please get a manual save option? Saving only when leaving planets doesn't seem very effective. I have lost progress and missions several times because of this.
The latest bugfix update is live! EDIT: not a bugfix update, but a features update! Seems the description hadn't updated. Luckily I'm near the legendary system I discovered. Let's go there to see what I have to discover... EDIT 2: Went to the legendary system I've discovered and yes, there's something different to be found that you won't see on any normal system. I won't put spoilers here, but unfortunately my first legendary system discovered was a night system, so I couldn't see it too well either. Hopefully the second legendary system I discover will be a daylight system to see it better. Regarding dogfights, now they're much more enjoyable. The enemy ships change trajectory when you've got them in your crosshair, forcing you to move around while the other ships are shooting at you. I've just played a battle with four enemies: two deadly and two mostly harmless, and it was much, much better than prior to the update. Thanks a lot for this Marsaults!
LOL! "To boldly go where no man has gone before"... What will you do when you discover a legendary system 10k LY from where you are? Go back to it or continue separating like a supernova?
Well right now I'm heading back to my first legendary system. I have about 7700 LY to go. Hey, I got out there, I can do it again. I still want to test the limits of the Galaxy.
This game just keeps getting better and better. I am amazed at its progress. Thanks for all the hard work on it!
Yeap. One thing that I'd love to see in future updates is an input method to set coordinates to lock a system. Let's say drh1961 discovers a beautiful system at 156,-12,80. I'd love to input that into the game so that the system locks and I can go to it. Btw, I still make some "kill" missions that when everyone is killed, it doesn't recognize the objective as completed. The last happened with rebels, but it seems to happen randomly with any kind of enemy. The solution is to leave the system and come back, or to change mission directly.
Sharing planet coordinates would be awesome. We could have a list of the "best vacation spots" and share them.
This way, you wouldn't need to constantly show the position of legendary systems in the map/grid of the ship (not the galaxy map, but the mini map which has x1, x10,... on the ship). Once a legendary system is known, you can just input the coordinates so that the system is shown. Btw, what is the "LY" column in the legendary system table for? I have found one legendary system, but that column is empty.
Look at the space station I just acquired! Amazing specs and daily production! It's on (1787, 1771, 93), for when Marsaults implements the coordenate introduction Marsaults, what about having sunset planet light? At the moment we have day (blue sky) and night (black sky). Sunset could have an orangish-reddish sky.
The "LY" has to be removed. I guess i put "LY" to mean that coordinates unities were Light Years, but it is not useful or clear! In fact, such skies already exist! More exactly they may be orangish or reddish near the horizon (roughly half of the visible sky), i think there are illustrating snapshots on this thread. Maybe you may want an orangish/reddish color on the whole sky instead? I can try that. Btw, coordinates introduction is in progress.
I talk about the main sky colour. When you land and the sky changes, the main colour can be blue (day) or black (night). I was suggesting to add a third tone of orange, as when there's a sunset. I don't know if the rest agree or not. It's just to give more variety. Thanks for taking into account everything we say here. It's really appreciated.
That looks good to me. I think i will make things be continuous (the current blue may become from 0% to 100 % orange/pink, depending on time).
Sounds good to me too. We have to remember we're discovering new planets in which we don't know how the light affects colours
How are you all doing with the legendary systems? While travelling towards the 3rd legendary system, I found the coordinates for a 4th legendary system... And of course, it's in the opposite direction of the one I'm travelling to Anyway, let's continue the trip
