Senkoujin, I already reported Marsaults the bribe button bug, and he says he's fixed it and submitted the update. Hopefully it will hit soon. Meanwhile, try not to touch the "bribe" button part of the screen.

I think the red systems are the ones you've just visited.

Regarding your navigation question, I do it by locking a star far away (75LY for example), activating the lightspeed, going into the system menu and checking my distance from planet origin. If it increases, I continue that way. If it decreases, I turn around leaving the locked star behind, lock a new star and check. Sure it's not the best way, but it kinda works.

Red system is your last visited system.

Navigation. I always make sure my locked In system is below my current position in the star map. That way I know I'm always going in the same direction. You could also always go "up"

I found two coordinates for legendary systems. Both are z coords. One is 23 one is 328. However my current z coord is -8891.

I have a long way to backtrack...

    Bribes?

    Yeah,

There is definitely something wrong with finances, possibly the bribe function. I lost 30 million in a half hour of play time. I only fought about 7 ships, and did not bribe anyone knowingly.

VBF. How many monuments did it take to get all three coordinates for a legendary system?

I'd say that 1 out of 5 monuments have legendary coordinates. Monuments are scarce though. I have partial coordinates for 3 legendary systems and 1 complete coordinate. Now I'm travelling towards the system. I'm 3,500LY from it, but I'm going to sleep now, so we'll see if I get there tomorrow.

Regarding the finances, the problem is the bribe button: it's there even if you don't see it. Marsaults told me he's submitted the update fixing it, so I strongly recommend avoiding the bottom left part of the screen until the update goes live.

I think I have to avoid playing altogether for the moment with the amount of attacks I get. I'm steadily losing all my cash. I'm down to 7.7 million now.

Pretty soon I'll have nothing if this keeps up. :p

You better wait for the update then. Contact Marsaults vía PM to see if there's a way of getting your 30 million credits back in an update or something...

    Hi Senkoujin,

On the hud, red squares mean systems you have already visited, i will make it clear in the guide. Light blue for system within your range, blue for out of range systems. Purple doesn't appear in the hud, its appears on the radar (explained in the guide).

There is a bug with bribery, it is fixed in the recently submitted update.

I will implement the vizualisation of your current direction.

Imperials can absolutely not be bribed for the moment (as there is a fine system), but i may change that.

There are 2 cross hairs in the galaxy map: your star system, and your current position. I will explain that in the guide too.

I've not bought this yet but I am intrigued. I can say an active dev & constant updates is freaking awesome.

Updates are constant, dev is active and takes into consideration everything we say/suggest. After 56h of gameplay, I must say this game is my best investment money-enjoyment time wise in the App Store in all the years I've had an iPhone. If you like this kind of games, don't hesitate: support the dev and give yourself a great space trading game.

    Ahhhhhhhhh~

Thank you VirtualBoyFreak and drh1961 for the explanations! ;)

Ohh, thanks for the explanation! So it's Light Blue and Blue.....I was thinking the blue color was purple because it looked kind of like a dark blue color; you can call me colorblind if you like, haha! Either way, these things were not in the GUIDE, but thank you for planning to add them to the GUIDE. :)

    Merci beaucoup! :)

Yes, marsaults is one of the most diligent and dedicated developers that I've met here. Stellar Horizon is constantly getting better and better with the updates, and it has come a very long way from its initial release. I give marsaults my full support, and I encourage you to consider buying the game sometime if you're a true space fan. ;)

Update fixing the bribe button is live. It has also fixed two other things regarding the vegetation textures and the seabed.

So I really wanted to like this game, because I really dig open world space sims, but good god it's beginner unfriendly. How much time do you have to invest before space combat changes from "You are under attack <1 second> Ejecting..."?

It would be fun to be able to actually do some missions or something, but considering I've never actually been able to try out the space combat portion, and it seems like you need to do hours and hours of trading and mining to get anywhere close to a ship that has usable range, I can't really see the point. I thought grinding my way to the fourth or fifth tier ship would give me a chance in combat, but I'm still getting wrecked before I even get a chance to figure out how to really fight.

    Hi trager,

did you start your game in a random system? Because, in this case, it is possible that the system level is too high for you ship. If you just click "new game", you should start in a more friendly system. What is the level of your current system?

To what Marsaults said in the previous post, I have to add that if you begin a normal game (not random system), you should be okay. I've suffered that "one-shot destruction" when the enemies had much better ships than mine. If your ship is levelled with the enemies, you need many more shots to be destroyed.

Also, don't make the same mistake I made when reading the "new game" labels: At first I thought that the randomized new game had a completely new universe, but then I realized that the universe is always the same, the only thing that changes is the planet in which you begin at.

My suggestion is that you begin a standard new game and make several missions (preferably transport/peaceful missions to visit sectors) to get money. Land in each and every planet and collect all the resources before you leave. You'll be making quite some money in the first few hours of gameplay, and you'll have access to new and better ships.

Don't try to go from the worst ship (the one you begin with) to the best one without passing through some of the rest. I've owned around 5-6 ships in total, and now I have the best ship available in the game, and after 56h of gameplay, it's a really enjoyable game. Give it a second chance. The space battles can be improved as you can see in this thread, but overall I think you'll like it.

Systems have levels? How would I find that out?

I don't think I started in a random system, but it's possible. The first game I attempted to play got broken because I was trying to make money via trading and didn't have enough for auto-land (and of course, didn't have enough fuel to try going anywhere else), then because of the wonky controls ended up crashing against the station so many times that I ragequit. I know that I started over again, but I can't be sure which option I used. Pretty sure I had a couple of times in that first game where I ran into pirates and got totally destroyed, too, but that was in the starter ship and could have just been bad luck.

    Purchasing stations

I have not found a station I can purchase yet but will purchased stations show up in the galactic map?
